The Spirit within determines our success.

Acquire a Spirit

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy
mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and
night, that thou mayest observe to do according
to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt
make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt
have good success.”
Joshua 1:8.

In the New Testament, the Military played a very important role in the life of Jesus. The first convert to Christianity was a soldier who was an officer in the Roman Legion. This occurred as soon as the Gospel was told. We can read of the various exploits of Paul when he encountered the men who were “Men of Arms”.

The Military could help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Second, soldiers see and converse with tons of various types of people.

Third, young men enjoy the adventure of serving the ruling king or conqueror that commands them.

Fourth, these men also like the violence which is taught in the controlled service.

Every age should learn how to be righteous. What you do with your life is important. What the military does is instruct us how to use self-discipline and then to sacrifice for the good of others.

Those who fight for a cause must understand what his enemy is doing. This is becoming more important every day in the history of the United States. We have many evil enemies who want to destroy us as a country.

Look and see who these nations are. This is easy to comprehend. They are China, Iran and various muslim nations and people. It is necessary for our intelligent community to keep looking. These Nations – through their leaders, want to take what we have and to then destroy us.

The Common everyday citizens in the United States understand the mockery. Seemingly our leadership does not. The Military senses this.

The Spirit within determines our success.

When we commit ourselves to a task, there is an attitude which must reside deep within our soul. It is a spirit that is so determined to make it happen – that nothing will stand in the way. In the past, the United States has been fortunate to have men and women who had a spiritual quality inside their souls.

There is an example which this has been exhibited. Here are a few names of such individuals:

  • George Washington,
  • Andrew Jackson,
  • Daniel Boone,
  • Billy Graham,
  • George S. Patton,
  • Martin L. King, and
  • Douglas MacArthur.

Leadership must – first be in the soul of the person.

There was a man who was a general in the Confederate Army who had this spirit. He was on the losing side of the Northern Aggression. He illustrated all of the attributes of a man who believed in what he was seeking to accomplish.

His name was Nathan Bedford Forrest. He enlisted in the Confederate Cause as a private. He quickly rose to the rank of general. He was a millionaire before 1861. He fought beside his men. In battle, he lost 29 horses he was riding on. This unique man had a spirit that few men possess. The Federals were afraid of him. This man possessed a spirit in which he believed.

Some men have the spirit of the warrior. After the day of Pentecost, the Apostles garnered this spirit. How can you acquire this? You cannot buy it! You cannot inherit it! You cannot receive it as a gift. Then what is it you can do? There is a way it can be done. Decide in your mind that you will do what is necessary. Every normal person can do this.

Great Leaders in any field will always want to know the activity of the enemy. That is a sign of commitment. Never relax in knowing who the enemy is and what those people are doing. They wish to obliterate us! As a leader, the man with the greatest spirit should act, shock and attack the enemy whenever it will destroy them. There must be no quarter allowed to the evil enemy.

Today’s Church has very few leaders who are desirous of victory.

Here are some of the reasons for the Church’s lack of conquering evil:

  • Preachers look to the time of retirement,
  • Preachers want a nice building,
  • Preachers want free medical care for their families and self,
  • Preachers want acceptability, and
  • Preachers want a big salary.

When you put all of this together, you get a group of men who are not forceful. They are afraid to take command. Is it any wonder the numbers for the Church are declining and Church Buildings are closing? I personally – laugh at the weak Protestant and Roman Catholics who are in our culture.

What should have been done has now brought an uncomfortable upheaval in our school system. The United States leadership thinks we must centralize all that we do. The public school system is a perfect example of what this brings us to. It is the responsibility of the Church to see that the schools are teaching the children. However, this has been given to the governments of the state and Federal powers.

What a mess this has brought about.

In the 1920’s and 1930’s, the powers in control decided the “Soviet Way” was best for us. All power was given to central planning in state capitals or the cesspools in Washington D.C., which is called the Education Department. We only have socialist schools right now.

Academics has been over taken by sports. Huge sports centers are constructed for football and basketball games. They dole out meals for children whose parents are not seen. Perish the thought that discipline might hurt the child’s development. They have huge parking spaces for the cars and trucks of the students. All of this brings about what could have been prophesied by good decision-making before the deterioration of our schools.

Schools should be teaching ways to encourage people to think. The Ector County Independent School District in Odessa, Texas, is an example of just how far down the learning process has become.

There is such an influx of Central American children now that ALL OF THE CHILDREN are dumbed down. It is SIMPLY a huge baby-sitting and child care facility. The students are herded around like convicts in a state or Federal incarceration center.

The Soviet Socialist Central Planning has not worked to teach children to think. Only a fool embraces a habit that does not work or produce.

There are not many solutions to our man-made riddle. It’s stated in the simplest way that the various plans of God are set out in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. Because we didn’t follow the testimonies in the Bible, It’s been a huge calamity to our freedoms and to our spirits.

The Ten Commandments – which are the fundamentals for intelligent beings, has been put before us. Exodus 20:22, tells us that these Commandments were given to Moses by God, who was to set them out to the Jews when they were at the base of Mount Sinai.

“And the Lord said unto Moses, thus thou shalt
Say unto the children of Israel, ye have seen that
I have talked with you from heaven.”

There is no improvement which man can add to or subtract from. The Jews tried to get around these Words of God. They were in a lot of trouble, when they ignored the Words of God. Finally, the Sons of Abraham cast them aside and it brought about annihilation of the Hebrew state – both in Israel and Judah.

When Paul wrote the book of Romans 13:9, it actually confirmed the Ten Commandments and thus proved they are the laws and rules of the past.

“For this, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt
not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false
witness, thou shalt not covet; and if there be any
other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in
this saying, namely, thou shalt love thy neighbor
as thyself.”

Paul was a disciple and man who had the spirit within. This spirit is alive in some people. Paul also wanted the Church of Rome to know he had been given an unusual power in Romans 16:25.

“Now to him that is of power to stablish you
according to my Gospel, and the preaching
of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation
of the mystery, which was kept secret since
the world began.”

When you are convinced that the Spirit of God has a grasp of your soul – then you wiil acquire the ability to do unusual acts. Look around and you will see that there are people who have this Spirit of a Warrior.

Jesus told a story of man who had the spirit when a lawyer asked the Messiah a question “Who is my neighbor?” The story of the Good Samaritan was told in Luke 10:33.

“But a certain Sa-mar’i-tan, as he journeyed,
came where he was: and when he saw him,
he had compassion on him.”

This spirit is in the heart and souls of many people.

Jesus illustrated the spirit of a young man who did not possess it in Matthew 19: 18, 19, 21.

“He saith unto him, which? Jesus said, thou
Shalt do no murder, thou shalt not commit
Adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt
not bear false witness,
Honour thy father and thy mother: and, thou
Shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Jesus Said unto him, if thou wilt be perfect
Go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor,
and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and
come and follow me.”

There is a deception of other spirits which rule over some people. These demons take over the control of the people. These are EVIL SPIRITS!

The master casts these demons out of the person as told to us in Luke 13:32.

“And he said unto them, go ye, and tell that fox,
behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today
and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be

We must keep the spirit within us – in order for each one of us to be a successful Christian.

Most people do not have the desire to have this power running within themselves. You and I must be committed to the work that is shown us. The United States has had enough of these creeps – such as Comey, Clinton, Obama, Lynch, and other liars.

Their spirits come within the purview of evil. As a Christian, we must stand up and let the Spirit Speak and Act through us.

  • Seek to know the spirit of power,
  • Learn from the Bible,
  • Tell people who you are, and
  • Never remain voiceless.

God Bless our Republic.

“Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss.

From vict’ry unto vict’ry,
His army shall He lead.
Till every foe is vanquished
And Christ is Lord indeed.

Stand up for Jesus
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not, it must not suffer loss.

Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
The trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict
In this His glorious day.

Ye that are men, now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger.
And strength to strength oppose.

Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you;
Ye dare not trust your own.

Put on the Gospel armor,
And, watching unto prayer,
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there.

Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long:
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song.

To him that overcometh
A crown of life shall be;
He, with the King of glory,
Shall reign eternally.”
