An Issue, Deal With It

“For he hath put all things under his feet.
But when he saith, all things are put under
Him, it is manifest the he is excepted, which
did put all things under him.”      I Corinthians 15:27.

Events happen that a person may not want to accept but the rational individual must come to mentally accept the reality of this fact or live in some mental state of denial which can only cause a series of catastrophic conclusions for the person who will not accept the reality of the fact. Death will come to a loved one who was a Christian during his or her life on this ball of earth, rock, air and water.

The Christian can say this as a believer in Christ. It was the time of sorrow  –  no it was a time of joy. It was a time of trouble – no it was a time of peace. It was a time of tears, no it was a time of laughing. It was a time of loneliness, no it was a time of separation and no it was a time of joining. All of these could describe the event of death to those who are Christians. Death is an issue which we all must deal with it often in life.

Pagans seek to take the sting out of the passing from this life to eternity.

The attempt to box up the body in a bright ornate metal rectangle box is straight out of a strange story that the human frame can somehow live and exist for centuries in its present form when it is dressed in some beautiful outfit and placed in a coffin.

We love to leave flowers around the casket as if it had some magical power of remembrance. The blooms are withered and gone in about three days.

Do not even consider this writing is meant to be sorrowful, depressing or mentally a moment of lamenting. This is not so. What is written is true.

In Jesus, we find He is described in many ways but one of the most powerful word pictures is “He will to be able to subdue all things.”

This includes even the ancient enemy of us all – death.

Since this is what I Corinthians 15:27 sets out for us to read with great assurance.

“For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things
are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things
under him.”

Paul was not the first of a long line of poets, prophets and Godly people who not only hoped it would happen but was promised it would as an example such was set out in Psalm 8:6.

“Thou madest him to have domination over the works of thy hands; thou hast
put all things under his feet:”

As we know no other person of mankind can make such a powerful care inspiring statement as Paul did. This man knew what he was discussing since we know he had seen it. Briefly this is found in II Corinthians 12:2.

“I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I can
I can not tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell; God knoweth:) such an
one caught up to the third heaven.”

It seems that Paul was writing about his previous adventure.

In II Corinthians 15:28, Paul states all of this he had written. Evil will be subdued by Christ.

“And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also
himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God
may be all in all.”

What the world wants to know and does ask every generation is when. No one knows. It is none of my business. From many indications all prophecies will be soon fulfilled as to the end.

There are many passages that are confusing, mentally upsetting perplexing to the most learned readers of the Holy Scripture. Undoubtedly the insertion of the remarks found in I Corinthians 15:29; which brings huge questions that have no significance to the reader as he or she contemplates the meaning of this verse in the letter to the Corinthians who no matter what one thing was a troubled group of believers.

“Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise
not at all? Why are they then baptized for the dead?”

Men have sought to give at least three explanations to these words.   …   baptized for the dead   …  “  Even though there are several suggestions it appears the strongest is that there was some habit or ritual that there was a group who were going through a movement where there were two baptisms. One was for the living but the other was a person could be immersed vicariously for those who were dead.

Anyone who knows anything about the “Latter Day Saints” knows this group from Salt Lake City, Utah does this for the departed relations. This is one of the prime reasons why this group has such a knowledge of the genealogy of their own and also the people who are dead. From my limited knowledge of this particular cult  –  the fact, if a correct one;  can allow a candidate who can be immersed themselves at times for different people who are deceased. No one can say that there is no set number that prohibits a deceased person who can be immersed. The limit is never there.

Recently I came across a figure in the thousands of a woman who had been immersed for others. This sort of foolishness must have been happening at Corinth.  Another suggestion is that we are dead and that the immersion of the person is an act given for those that are dead.

The fact is we are just this dead. And there is no hope for us without washing away our sin.

Those who are dead can offer no solution to the problems that the world believes it has an answer for the replacement of God in our life. Man constantly seeks to replace God with fornication, homosexuality, prostitution, wealth and all forms of government –  but all of these are total failures.

Man is dead without the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Actually, I Corinthians 15:30 ask the question why this is done.

“And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?”

This man had punishment beyond what most mortals have never seen –  much less, had heaped upon them. There are some who have suffered enormously but these are few and far between. Here is just one example of the price of Paul when he wrote about it in I Corinthians 15:32.

“If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what
avantageth it me, if the dead rise not? Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow
we may die.”

There are many excuses why service to Christ is not done:

  • I have a cold, or
  • It is raining, or
  • The church auditorium is cold, or
  • My car is low on gasoline, or
  • The Cowboys play at noon, or
  • My cousin in __?____just died, or
  • Church is talking only money.

All of these remarks along with others; will send you to hell.

Paul said it best in I Corinthians 15:33.

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”

Words come after the thought.

The fool states that how can life come after death. This type of remark comes only by the ignorant and mentally blind since the evidence is all around us when we live for of the resurrection after a death. The proof is before our very eyes as we watch plants reproduce. All growth has a value in two different ways:

  • Produce the seed once the plant dies. Seeds are for the resurrection.
  • Food for substance for the animals such as humans.

When I Corinthians 15:36 –38, sets this out as proof of the resurrection.

“Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And
that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare
grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it
a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.”

You must understand that seed produces the same seed and flesh from which it came.
Squash does not produce watermelons. The analogy could be expanded to cover all plants.

Then Paul tells us something already known by each one. Between the different species of animals the flesh of each has different characteristics. This intelligent Jew was making the point again as to animals as to plant seeds in I Corinthians 15:39.

“All flesh is not the same flesh: nut there is one kind of flesh of men, another
flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.”

The fact is God knows what was to take place for he tells us that Luke 14:14 the just shall have a special place.

“And thou shall be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee; for thou shall
be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.”

There is yet a leader among politicians, who never announces the fact of the resurrection. We should not expect the marxist muslims – to even give credit to a socialist coward who resides in the White House. What is brought up is global warming and racism. No one on the Democratic party ever discusses the sin of this nation. For the most part the Republicans as usual are cowards. This nation has a muslim problem.

What you are witnessing in the United States is the death of a nation that is speeding up at an accelerating speed in the year 2015. The Gospel teaches and proclaims only among the few the reason is –  Christians do not wish to become involved.

To even give credit to a socialist coward who resides in the White House is a mark of evil.

There is a book that may be out of print now but still has an impact on our Western culture. It is by Francis H. Schaffer entitled, “How Should We Then Live?”   It takes apart how now the Western world has lost its purpose. We have a death wish when we take in muslims by government edicts. It appears we have a death wish and these demons from hell the followers of Mohammed will accommodate the wish. Try Amazon to acquire the book.

There is one of the great pieces of English literature which is seldom mentioned by the millennials.  They could not visualize what it tells.   Also the liberals cannot comprehend their sins and their disobedience to God, the Father of Jesus Christ. It seems their teachers and professors are either atheist or agnostics. The writer and poet of this masterful piece is John Milton and the writing is “Paradise Lost”. The opening clause is:

“Of mans first disobedience and the fruit of that forbidden
tree what mortal taste – taste
Brought death into the World. and all our woe.”

This man wrote about one of the great issues of every life. One might wonder how a person could put all of that on paper. The answer is simple. There was no TV, radio, Facebook and other goofy distractions.

Remember that the socialist, marxist and those who espouse the social gospel want to destroy the living.  Some people do not accept eternal life. We Christians know that when life on this earth is finished there is a movement at once to a place we prepared for ourselves: heaven or hell. You are going to live forever like it or not.

Only a fool lives and is enamored with this world and its contents.

Keep the faith.

“Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing his mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place,
Onward to the prize before us
Soon His beauty we’ll behold;
Soon the pearly gates will open,
We shall tread the streets of gold.
When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory.”
