Culture of Death

“Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth?
Are not his days also like the days of an hireling”?  Job 7:1.

We all try to play down our own eventual death. It’s an odd fact that most people do not see expect what will happen. Yet death – the ancient enemy of man, is glorified. There are certain explicit signs that suggest this very clearly.

Don’t think for one moment that we aren’t influenced by what is dramatized by death. Also, don’t think for one moment that this is a doom and gloom time for us. We need to live out our lives. It’s not a bad thing. It is not! It’s an opportunity. Jesus often used death to illustrate a poignant point.

There is a deep meaning among those who understand death. It is simple; we were born to die.

Some of the stories and parables were about death. Jesus in Luke 16:22, spoke about two men, both died and one went to heaven the other went to hell.

“And it came to pass,
That the beggar died,
and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom.
The rich man also died, and was buried.”

Then a friend of Christ became ill and died. John 11:11, starts this event.

“These things said he: and after that he saith
unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepth;
but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.”

Then the Messiah brought his friend Lazarus out from the tomb by command in John 11:43,44.

“And when he thus had spoken, he cried with
a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. “And he
that was dead came forth, bound hand and
foot with graven clothes: and his face was
bound about with a napkin. Jesus said
unto them, Loose him , and let him go.”

One of the most fascinating facts of the Bible, is that it discussed what goes on in every day events. This is one reason this book is so dear to each one of us. It can be understood because the common situations stand out. They are easy to interpret and to apply this to our own lives.

The Holy Scripture prepares us for the future so that the element of surprise does not crush our spirit.

I’d like this blog to show those who want to know what will be in their future. There are some people who will not want to see tomorrow, yet the Bible will give to us the ability to know.

We should never be fearful of the events to come. God has told us what would be. One grown man was told he was known – even before birth happened. You can see this in Jeremiah 1:5.

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew
thee; and before thou camest forth out of
the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained
thee a prophet unto the nations.”

As humans, we should see the truth as it is. It’s not funny, quizzical or without an understanding of the onward movement of events. In short, seek knowledge and understanding.

Those who are Christians look at what’s happening in the world and wonder at the center of non-Christians. Then, we wonder how just how these people ended up up with the way they live their lives. There is always the mental rationals, and why the repented sinner lives as they live.

When we examine death in our culture – there is always the question of why?

First, we must acknowledge that death will happen to every living soul on the terrestrial ball, unless Christ brings this all to an end; then there will be the Judgment Day which is set out in the New Testament, Jude 6, tells us of this.

“And the angels which kept not their first estate,
but let their own habitation, he hath reserved in
ever-lasting chains under darkness unto the judgement
of the great day.”

Another reference is II Peter 2:9.

“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the Godly
Out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust
Unto the day of judgement to be punished.”

We find out that the Bible tells us of what will happen after death. It is judgment time!

Scores of deaths caused by EMP Blackout.

There is a fear in both of these in that death brings what we deserve as we conclude our life. We try to dress up the human as each lays in the rectangle box called a “casket”. The mortuary has been selling living people a metal container, within the last few decades. Why? Then on the inside, is a soft quilted pink cloth which generally brings up the question. For what?

In the last few years there has been fewer and fewer bouquets of flowers. Good! We need to discard another absurd habit in the celebration of life – which is always a view of the deceased. The way to celebrate life is to do so while the person is alive – not dead. Even Christians have adapted these worldling actions.

Nations give honor to those who die by putting the casket sealed in the government building, such as the Rotunda, in Washington D.C. It’s a tourist trap and people walk by the Rotunda – but why? That has always been a mystery to me.

Here’s one example as to how people remember recent significant times. June 6, 1944, was called D-Day. I asked about five people what D-Day meant. None of the five could give me an any answer. When they were told about 7,000 men lost their lives on the beaches of France it never phased them. Their death sacrifice meant nothing to the living of today.

Then, there is the serious problem of suicide in the United States. This is generally a sign of a deep depression in that person who took his or her life. The early Christians considered this to be murder.

There is some weird fascination to bring death upon other people. The school shootings are examples of this in our Western Culture. There should be a limit on the amount of mental disorders.

Anti-anxiety pills are given to the young people – especially the young. Again, again and again. Most of the men who have killed in the schools, are often on anti-anxiety pills. What can happen is that it can cause a chemical reaction in the brain to produce a desire to kill.

Big Pharma wants to promote the Agenda of Death. Those responsible should be punished for what they have done. The medical profession is out of control in producing these pills of death.

There is another group which always produces death especially among the older citizens and the mentally deprived. It is called Socialism. When the socialist groups push health care on the population – they also have a secret “Death Committe”.

Obama Care was in on it. I have not looked it up to see if the section is still there. The authors gave the “Death Committee” a different name, of course. Our servants in Washington D. C., voted on it years ago when it was enacted. There is a desire to rid society of the so-called useless. The Republicans and Democrats voted for them. No wonder Washington D.C is called the swamp. It is misinformed. It should be called the cesspool.

Another group which hails death are the Islamists’. As this blog is written, these demons openly promise to obliterate the Jews and the Christians. The demons from hell such as Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Pelosi, and Schumer did not cry out and say, “stop this”. Instead, they formed committees and ‘donated’ money to promote it.

This is happening in Africa and the Middle East as we write this blog. Death is a way of life to their religious group – THEY – who are the Sons of Satan.

As long as the United States does not change its morals, we will continue to worship death. Sin always produces death. Such immoral acts always bring death as a result.

  • Fornication -Venereal disease,
  • Adultery – Venereal disease,
  • Dope – Body deterioration,
  • Domestic upheavals – wasted lives,
  • Child Molestation – young twisted minds,
  • Twisted Minds – do as had been done to them.

These items listed above are the telltale signs that death produces.

There is no problem that men will face that the solution is not offered to the followers of Jesus Christ.

In the beginning of the Disciples of Christ, there were two groups who followed the leading of the Messiah. These were women and soldiers. The reason for their acceptance of Jesus was the hope that was offered to them.

The women of that era were in a horrible position. They had no hope since they were only servants and chattels. Soldiers fell into the same concept. The Roman Empire succeeded in expanding their troops. They had little -if any hope.

Yesterday, as well as today, the presentation of the Gospel was the only thing that offered a brighter tomorrow and had become the enemy of the death race.

Man has always hoped there was more to life then our brief time on earth here. The years seem so short. Every living plant, animal and/or form of life will die.

Death will come! Ancient monarchs wanted to be prepared for eternity so they were buried with their tools or weapons to be prepared for the coming eternity. The monarchs were foolish.

Jesus has told us that He was the only Way to be with God in eternity. We have nothing to be ashamed about. We have the Truth. We must share it. Do not hide it. Jesus said in John 10:10, who he was.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they
might have life, and that they night have it
more abundantly.”

One could take this to mean only while we are here but it is not correct. There was another reason why he came. John 4:14, tells of a conversation with a worldly woman.

“But whosever drinketh of the water that I shall
give him shall be in him a well of water springing
up into everlasting life.”

In talking to Peter Jesus said in Mark 10:30, these words.

“But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this
time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions: and in the world to come eternal life.”

All of the gospels declare aloud eternity even now. You can read such passages in Luke 18:29, 30.

“And he said unto them, verily I say unto
you, there is no man that hath left house,
or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children,
nor the kingdom of God’s sake. “Who shall not
receive manifold more in this present time, and
in the world to come life everlasting.”

The last book writes aloud eternity in Revelation 21:27.

“And there shall in no wise enter into it
anything that difileth, neither whatsoever
worketh abomination or maketh a lie: but
they which are written in the Lambs’s book of life.”

You can expect death here – but life continues in the Presence of God.

1.Know death will come.
2. Life is found in Christ.
3. Without Christ – there is no meaning.
4. Only Christian have hope.

God Bless Our Republic.

“When the Trumpet of the Lord shall sound,
And time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks,
Eternal, bright and fair.

When the saved of earth shall gather
Over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

On that bright and cloudless morning,
When the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His Resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home. Beyond the skies, and the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

Let us labor for the Master
From the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous
Love and care.

Then when all of life is over,
And our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder.
I’ll be there.
