Evil Produces Misconceptions

“Let a man so account for us, as of the ministers
of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”
“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”    I Corinthians 4: 1,20.

When a study of evil is made there is one fact that stands out. Christians often do not see or do not understand the distortions of facts when evil enters into our lives and for that matter any equation of living. The readers of this blog will recognize the remark that sin or evil produce a counterfeit to righteousness and God’s way. The pattern is clearly present. Sin and evil always copy what God’s instruction for our acts are to be.

Here is an example of this. Christians and the Old Testament tell us to see to it the poor and disposed are helped. The Jews were told to do this and Jesus was often about helping those who could not take care of themselves. In the United States there has been a rash of creating non-profit groups. In fact they even have a place where a name can be set up. In the Internal Revenue Code the label is a Rule 501(c)(3) section. So many of these are never investigated for corruption. It is a money game and a method of tax write offs.

So, Christians should investigate before giving to any 501(c)(3) organization.

The next group is the grants and loans from the Federal and/or State governments. The Bible never says this is what is to be done. Pay taxes only. Do not look to a government for a handout.

ACCOUNTING

Paul wrote to the troubled church at Corinth that  “a man”, in the singular, was to be a steward of all that he needs.

When evil is not studied then Satan begins to act in the minds of souls of men. There were special instructions given in I Corinthians 4:1,2.

“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ,
and stewards of the mysteries of God.”
“Moreover it is required in stewards,
That a man be found faithful.”

Notice that Paul said we are stewards of what we have. The word ‘steward’,  is generally not used in our vocabulary today but, one could say in place of steward –  a caretaker or supervisor.

There are social economics, and yet religions and philosophy are preached today that are contrary to the Old Testament and Christianity. It has a name. It is socialism but in the past it was known as communism or marxist. It is based on theft of what belongs to others.

Among many evils there is always one sordid pattern it has. Always murder is involved. Always death is a result of it. One need only to read about the nations who have embraced this evil:

  1. Stalin – murdered at least 50 million
  2. Mao- killed over 50 million
  3. Hitler – yes he was a socialist. Over 20 million killed.
  4. Britain – constantly on a killing rampage in the colonies
  5. Iran – unknown – thousands

The list goes on. However, I have left out one nation:

Yes, it is the United States. Yes, we are socialist to the core.

Different figures are given for abortion but the most conservative number is 55 million since Roe v. Wade. The people who do this are murderers. Now we are a learning that the body parts, tissues and any part that can be sold is.

Paul said he was to be judged not by himself but God. This is found in I Corinthians 4:3-4.

“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of
man’s judgment: yes, I judge not mine own self.”
“For I know nothing by myself; yet am not hereby justified: but he that
judgeth me is the Lord.”

What is so heartbreaking is that the American people will not reverse socialism. The reason is the social security, medicare, medicaid, free hospitalization and other give away thefts would stop. Get it? It is about money and goods.

When death comes then judgment will be. Remember we are stewards not owner. You may read this in I Corinthians 4:5.

“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will
bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the
the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.”

The socialist, as said before, consider the Christians must be destroyed. The socialist are without virtue, righteousness and justice.

Do not take what has been written by this writer     ======>>>    but look what evil does in copying God’s eternal plan.

WILL IT LAST?

We all like to consider how important we are in the totality of events. The truth is we are not so important. In I Corinthians 4:6 he tells us the exact opposite.

“And these things brethren, I have in a figure transferred to my self and to
Apollos for you sakes; that he might learn in us not to think of men above
that which is written, that on one of you be puffed up for one against another.”

WORLD STARES AT US

There is no reason to ever think the world likes you for being a Christian. The worldly considers us to be persons who do not understand the world. O, but we do. The issue is we can explain the transactions of this life and such disturbs those who are a part of Satan’s bond. Incidentally, these fools are the very name they refer to we Christians. This emphasis is on life now and not to consider what happens after death.

Yes we are different. Yes we intend to remain different. I Corinthians 4:7.

“For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou that
thou didst not receive? Now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory,
as if thou hadst not received it?”

Paul then goes into his circumstances for those Corinthians to see and to observe I Corinthians 4:8-10.

“Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us:
And I would to God ye did reign, that we almost might reign with you.”
“For I think God has set forth us the apostles last, as if it were appointed
to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels and to men.”
“We are fool’s for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but
ye are strong; ye are honorable, but we are despised.”

The Christian states to himself that he or she has excommunicated the carnal way of today. Christians must always be different else we are truly fools. We then would be fools.

ONLY ONE FATHER

There is always a teacher who spouts some silly platitudes about being a Christian. Basically Paul said pay little or no attention to their remarks about Christianity. Our source for help is not some teacher but only God’s word can help us. Do not depend
upon someone else to tell the truth. Go directly to the New Testament to give instructions.

Recently while sitting in a Men’s Prayer Breakfast a minister used the world “myth” to describe one of the stories in the first chapters of Genesis. Immediately I knew this man was a person who I did not want to hear. The question always is this. “How do I know what is true or false?”

It was in 4:15 of I Corinthians that this advice was given:

“For thou ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many
fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”

Paul wrote this was the way he acts and we should follow his example in all our lives according to I Corinthians 4:16-17.

“Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.”
“For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son,
and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance
of my ways, which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.”
Timothy had been trained in following only God or as He is called the Lord. Then Timothy could not be led away from the true spirit of God.

There was one thing which Paul gave us an example and it was to watch what was happening. The same thing should be our attitude in what we help to create.

POWER GIVEN TO US

Be very careful who you attack. In Richard J. Maybury’s Early Warning Report, August, 2015, page 4, this is found:

“For those of us who try to avoid this naiveté, it helps to remember history’s
worst of all military emergencies, the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.”

Kennedy ordered the Navy to blockade Cuba. One of the US warship captains asked his admiral,

What if we tell a Russian ship to stop and it doesn’t?”

The implication was, are we going to blow up the world because one ship didn’t stop?

The admiral replied that the captain should use standard procedure, fire a shot across the bow.

The captain then said, “What if the Russian Ship still does not stop?”

The admiral answered, “The president did not give instructions on that.”

So, by the default, Kennedy left the decision about whether to start World War III up to his individual warship captains.

“A Russian sub was attacked, and one – just one – of its officers refused to allows its nukes to be unleashed. Had it not been for that one man, not many of us would be here today.”

What this story illustrates is, that the experts will destroy the world if it were possible because no one should ever consider themselves so important. There are times when the Lord God Almighty intervenes in a way to give peace to mankind.

The Lord always gives the opportunity to hear the gospel, believe the gospel, confess Christ, repent of the personal sin, and be buried with Him in immersion. This is the teaching of the New Testament. Frankly, there is no other way to come to God through His Son. This is the biblical way.

Experts often have another agenda rather than the issue before you. One should seek answers through Scripture, but yes, another human may be able to direct your path.

NO PUFFERY

Paul was interested in what the Lord had done for these new converts. Words alone are not sufficient to solve the puzzle that is there. The world will not, has not or is not capable of spiritual solutions.

This learned man in I Corinthians 4: 19-21.

“But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the
speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.”
“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
“What will ye? Shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit
of meekness?”

My friend, recognize who the God of the universe is. It is the Father of Jesus Christ.

FARTHER ALONG

“Tempted and tried we’re oft made to wonder, why it should be this all the day long,
While there are others living about us, never molested tho in the wrong.”
“When we see Jesus coming in glory, When He comes from His home in the sky;
Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion, We’ll understand it all by and by.”
