Government’s Appetite for Destruction

“And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight
of the Lord, and served Ba’alim, and Ashtaroth, and
the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zi’don, and the
gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon,
and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the Lord,
and served not him.”   Judges 10:6.

In the last fifty years, there has been a dynamic change in the culture  – not only in the United States but also in the world. The transition is shocking when a person sees what it was like fifty years ago and how we act in the world today. Transportation, eating, dressing, acting and yes – worshiping the Creator are far – far different on the outside of our lives that it was then and now. In many aspects, the alterations have certainly improved our lives.  Here is an example and it is very helpful and it has enriched our lives beyond any stretch of our imagination. That is travel.

Jesus on the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:17, said what His responsibility was.

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the
Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

Then again in John 10:10, the Christ told what would happen once the law was accepted. In other words, the law and Christ could bring an abundant life.

“The Thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Contrary to what most so called Christians comment about Jesus – He was a revolutionary who brought trouble, turmoil and trial.

One should only read Matthew 10:34-3.

“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth.
I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against him
the father, and the daughter against her mother, and
the daughter in law against her mother-in-law.
And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.”

What the church has succeeded in doing is absorbing the teaching of Christ along with certain ideology which we call socialism. This is what is called in the book of Judges Baalism and Ashtarothism. The text tells us that in Judges 10:16:

“And they put away the strange gods from among
them, and served the Lord: and his soul was grieved
for the misery of Israel.”

As a Christian, we start out with this concept: The Bible is true in all aspects. Thus, in all situations there can found an answer to a problem(s).

Jesus said the law was to be used for our lives. Then the next question is what is the law? The answer can be found in Exodus, 20 were the fundamentals of the law of God written by Moses can be read in a matter of minutes. For the sake of illustration, we need only to use one short verse. It is Exodus 20:15.

“Thou shalt not steal.”

This is violated daily by so called “Christians”. The church never preaches against it.

There was a time when those who were conservative Christians never spoke in favor of communism, socialism, or progressivism but now the time has been altered. The church and its numbers have wrapped their arms around this ideology. The result is obvious. The government has become God and it supplies our needs from the birth to the death. Of course this means more taxation and greater funds of money being spent.

The following is an example of many illustrations to which could be shown but one is enough. The example is social security. The simple fact is that at gunpoint money is taken from people who work and then doled out to others who are not working. The issue then is why should money be taken from a worker in one state to pay a person who they do not know or are related to. This is a theft. Yet we are forced under a penalty of jail to give to those we do not know. The Bible in not one of its pages, ever demands such a theft. The reason there is no rebellion against such acts is because the money given once a month is free. The church and its members have enjoyed communism, socialism and progressivism. This is the reason it is never called theft.

It was James 1:27, that told the early Christians and this generation what we are to do.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the
father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows
in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted
from the world.”

It is to be a volunteered act by a Christian as opposed to a law enforcement. It is force when socialism, communism, and progressivism are involved. This government allows no choice.
Remember that Hitler and Stalin were both socialists. It was Hans Sennholz once said it this way, “In Russia, all owners are shot. In Germany, all owners who disobeyed were shot.” In today’s world, socialism is Baalism or Ashtarothism. And our Christian friends love it.

If you want to meet resistance, then bring up such a subject as in your church, Sunday School class or Bible study group. In effect, Hillary Clinton seems to be a socialist –  but I do not know what Donald Trump is.

What this blog is stating is that the church has gotten in bed with the world.

There was a time period when Israel tried to rule itself but it was a disaster. For the people slipped further and further into derogation. The book of Judges 10:1-3 informs us that two men judged Israel over 45 years.

“And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel To’la
the son of Pu’ah, the son of Dodo, a man of Is’sachar;
and he dwelt in Shamir in mount E’phramin.
And he judged Israel twenty and three years, and died,
and was buried in Shamir.
And after him arose Ja’ir, a Gileadite, and judged Israel
twenty and two years.”

These two men we know very little about. Each came from two different tribes. All we understand that these two were able to hold back the flood of evil which was prevalent among the sons and daughters of Jacob. This time period lasted about 400 years when the judges kept the law of God before some of the people.

There are men who have lived in the past in the United States which kept the morals of this country before the people. Several were on the Supreme Court who made pronouncements which kept our people from slipping into the cesspool of corruption. The tide has changed now since the members seemingly believe the U.S. Constitution is a living document. It is like the Bible. It is fixed and should be immovable. When someone states that the Bible is fluid and changeable then leave that person and church at once. Neither accept that doctrine what is being said is the Bible will be changed to what I want it to state.

The command in Judges 10:7-9, tells of a time when armies of infidels and pagans moved against all Israel. Some areas were free and others were in slavery.

“And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and
he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into
the hands of the children of Ammon.
And that year they vexed and oppressed the children
of Israel: eighteen years, all the children of Israel that
were on the other side Jordan in the land of the Amorites,
which is in Gilead.
Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to
fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against
the house of Ephramin; so that Israel was sore distressed.”

This is the natural progression when evil comes to a Godly person. Then  –  invasion happens.

The United States is in the throes of this now. The leftist marxist muslim-leaning man who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has brought us trouble with no fence on the southern border of the United States.  This has allowed people who are anti-American to come into our nation. Do you really think times have changes? Some of them are really evil! Some have ideas of the unGodly! Some have a  type of hatred for morality! Donald Trump says he will make a change. Will he? Hillary Clinton gives us no hope for a different approach. She is a supporter of evil.

God through the prophets told these people face to face they cried out and he came. The evil gods did nothing since there was no such power within this ideology. Judges 10:12-14 sets all of this before these people of Israel. They saw the following of their ways of sin. It was nearly too late. An army was encamped to move against Israel.

There was a time in Odessa and surrounding areas a huge drought happened. No rain! No moisture! No hope for it! Prayer meetings were held in churches and public buildings asking and pleading with God for help. Then in 2015 and 2016 rain came. It was wonderful to see the fields green again. But the prayer meetings for thanksgiving never came. Churches and people did not seemingly ever say thank you to the Almighty. People are ingrates.

Here was the reenactment of Judges 10:12.

“The Zido’nians also, and the Am’alekites, and the
Ma’onites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and
I delivered you out of their hand.”

Here are some blessings which have been ours. Look around you:

Rich farm lands,
• Abundance of water,
• Great mineral resources,
• Ownership of land,
• Guided by the rule of law – hopefully it will continue,
• Transparency of government,
• Right to vote,
• Travel without hindrance,
• Retirement, and
• Disputes settled by a jury.

These and others are gifts from God. In fact, other nations copy what we do. They want what we have.

Now the churches are destroying our blessings all because we have allowed governments to act out against that it is God.

There are some facts to remember about the mixing of socialism with Christianity. This evil ideology is a form of theft. It always steals. It always takes. It is immoral. As a culture we like it because we get to reap free gifts right now. Wait! That bill will need to be paid.

The Church of Jesus Christ must speak out and support the law as given to Moses by God otherwise we will falter. The 10th chapter of Judges should be read to help us understand this age.

The salient points of this lesson can be summed as follows:

1. Read the law of Exodus 20.
2. Use it to judge what people do and say.
3. Understand what Jesus was telling us to do.
4. Understand socialism, communism and progressivism are evil to the core.

There is a way to live as given by God’s Word.

My Savior First Of All

“When my lifework is ended and I cross the swelling tide,
When the bright and glorious morning I shall see;
I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side,
And His smile will be the first to welcome me.

I shall know Him, (I shall know Him,) I shall know Him,
And redeemed by His side I shall stand;
I shall know Him, (I shall know Him,) I shall know Him
By the print of the nails in His hand.

Oh, the soul-thrilling rapture when I view His blessed face,
And the luster of His kindly beaming eye;
How my full heart will praise Him for the mercy, love and grace,
That prepared for me a mansion in the sky.

Oh, the dear ones in glory how they beckon me to come,
And our parting at the river I recall;
To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my welcome home,
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

Thro’ the gates to the city in a robe of spotless white,
He will lead me where no tears will ever fall;
In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight,
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.”
