People Don't Want To Hear the Truth

Hard To Accept

“And when Jesus cried with
a loud voice, he said, Father, into
thy hands I commend my spirit: and
having said thus, he gave up the ghost.”
Luke 23:46.

Mankind has a different task when certain events happen. It is a psychological situation that arises which the average person does not want to face. It is not just a select group that it happens to –  but all of us come into this matter physically, mentally, and spiritually. Some deny the existence of this fact. In the turmoil of our age, some will never accept this as a fact.

However, there is some evidence which demands a verdict. A person cannot continue to deny when the fact is there and can be absorbed.

What is a fact is people do not want to know the truth!

Truth is a fact. Truth is hard to wrap our mind around. When we first hear, and see the truth, humans will deny it or let it slide. People are reluctant to have truths put before them.

In the three years of his life, this man from Galilee lived as a teacher. People knew he was special. The people said he was a prophet.  It was for this reason that Jesus Christ was taken into custody at night. People could have taken up arms during the day. Caiaphas’s house was a meeting place at night. When the Son of God went before Herod it must have been in the early hours. There were two trips to Pilate. The trial was before King Jesus was sentenced. Read Luke 22:66-67.

“And as soon as it was day, the
Elders of the people and the chief
Priests and the scribes came together
And led him into the council,
Art thou the Christ? Tell us,
And he said unto them, if I tell you,
Ye will not believe.”

It is a common experience for people to cast aside all of the truth.

The following are some examples how the truth is hidden from us:

Woodrow Wilson campaigned his second term on the statement that he would keep us out of the fighting in France between Great Britain, France and Germany. Within a year after Wilson’s second term started we were in the war. It is said that 53,000 Doughboys were killed in Flanders Field, besides being shell-shocked and missing in action. The truth was  …  Wilson took us to war.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt campaigned in 1936, to keep our soldiers out of what became World War II. The attack on Pearl Harbor was expected. This dragged the United States into a two-sided conflict. FDR knew exactly what he was doing when he gave Churchill those fifty destroyers to defend England. War was coming. The truth was: Roosevelt wanted war.

In the Korean War, MacArthur was right to use the atomic bomb on the Chinese troops. The politicians were filled with fear. MacArthur spoke the truth.

George Bush, number 43, said Saddam Husain had weapons of mass destruction. This proved to be a colossal lie. The truth was concealed from we citizens. The truth was kept from us.

The Wall Street crowd keeps us from knowing the impact the Federal Reserve System has upon the “little people”. Remember all wars and economic chaos are organized by bankers who are often Jewish. Read about this on the internet.

The Federal Reserve System will fight to NOT  be audited. The truth would come out. Here again truth is not wanted to be known by the Powers-That-Be.

A couple of days ago a supposed gas attack was made upon citizens of Syria. Where is the proof? Was this gas made in the United States?

Then, we are told that global warming is going to be a serious problem. This is all according to Al Gore as he flies in a jet spewing out carbon gases into the environment. Truth tells us otherwise. There has been little or no change in the climate.

The latest state problem in the use of “pot” in the state of Colorado. Supposedly it has no detriment on the brain. It is easy to predict the enormous cost on the state in the next few years. Once sin is present – it is almost impossible to remove it.   The truth is that it WILL damage your brain.  And, your lungs.   But, the people in charge like it when a large group of people are easily malleable.

The great mass of churches foster false doctrine, also. The only place we have to go to learn the truth is the New Testament. Some of us hold the Plea for the Restoration of the plan for the church and the individual. This is our source for truth. This writer has known professed Christians who did not have the slightest idea what Christianity stands for. It is the only place I can go and see the truth in print. In Ephesians 1:7, the writer Paul said. “Christ is the only way.”

“In whom we have redemption
Through his blood, the forgiveness of Sins,
According to the riches of his Grace.”

This is the truth John 17:17 states:

“Sanctify them through thy
Truth: thy word is truth.”

There cannot be several truths. There is one truth! It states John 14:6, in the words of Jesus it tells who He Was and Will Be.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the
Way, the truth, and the life: no man
Cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Notice that the word “THE” is used. This signifies there is only one way.

The liberals in the churches are deniers of the inspiration of God’s word. Personally, when I hear or read what the liberals say immediately there is within me a turn off of anything they say. This includes the following;

• Disciples of Christ,
• Presbyterians,
• Methodist,
• Episcopal,
• Roman Catholic,
• Baptist, and
• Any other group

The Truth should always be accepted – but, the world does not want to accept truth.

When the lies of the Jewish religious and political leaders were told it finally put Jesus on the cross of Calvary. The Son of God called and spoke seven phrases all which have direct meaning for you and me today. These all are phrases at Calvary of Jesus Christ.

• Luke 23:34 – forgiveness,
• Luke 23:39-43 – left on the cross,
• John 19:25-27 – your son,
• Mark 15:34-36 – he thirsted,
• John 19:28 – behold your mother
• John 19:30 – it is finished, and
• Luke 23:46 – spoke to God.

There were variations in several of the gospel but the content is exactly the same.

If one were to single out which of the seven phrases was the most important it would be that which was taken from John 19:30.

“When Jesus therefore had received
the vinegar, he said, it is finished:
and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

The work that he accomplished on earth was now done. What can you even say to anyone at the end of your life? You have accomplished what was intended to be. The answer is no one can make this remark. Jesus could –  only because God had worked with His only begotten Son.

Jesus had developed a prayer life that no one else had ever done before. He often prayed into the night. The endless prayer periods must have been a moving experience for those who heard the remarks of the Father. There never was any person who could be in the presence of God. Like Him – The Truth flowed from the lips of Jesus.

There was a question which we wonder it because the word work is often used.

The law of Moses was to be changed. It was not because it was out dated but the content could not be kept with all the rules and regulations found in the Torah. Truth had to be told. Morality was still in place. It was only the regulations that were cast aside.

The work was for Christ to explain to all mankind that this was a new way to live. He stated two major themes.  First, our sins would be removed.  Second, there would be a life everlasting for us to be a part of. The wicked would never share in this.

Both of these are a gift from God. These two are simple – yet are profound. When we read the Holy Bible, we know there are only two sides to any issue: Truth and Lies.

One should sit down and come up with The Truth. There are certain concepts which should be followed.

People Don't Want To Hear the TruthThe first and foremost is to familiarize yourself with such book in the Bible. The book of Proverbs has enormous contents of business for all people. It is not certain who dictated this series of verses. So many people see the Bible as spiritual, which it is, but there is another way to see the book. It is a guide pattern for every situation in life. Probably no one has set this out for you.

Another area which we must acknowledge is how Jesus gave us understanding when we associate with humans. The way Jesus treated people is not complex – because he spoke at the level at which each person could comprehend. Look how he talked with the following:

• Woman at the well,
• Military soldiers,
• Rich young man – eternity,
• Pilate,
• Caiaphas,
• Leper’s, and
• Blind men.

These were people who do not want to establish the truth.

As a Christian we must tell others what they can do to discover truth:

1. Know the book of Proverbs
2. Did Christ touch on this subject
3. Be evangelists in speaking the gospel
4. Look around you for events that will illustrate good or evil

“Sound the battle cry! See, the foe is nigh;
Raise the standard high for the Lord;
Gird your armor on, stand firm every one;
Rest your cause upon His holy Word.

Rouse, then, soldiers, rally round the banner.
Ready, steady, pass the word along;
Onward, forward, shout aloud, “Hosanna!”
Christ is Captain of the mighty throng.

Strong to meet the foe, marching on we go,
While our cause we know must prevail;
Shield and banner bright, gleaming in the light,
Battling for the right we ne’er can fail.

O Thou God of all, hear us when we call,
Help us one and all by Thy grace;
When the battle’s done, and the vict’ry’s won,
May we wear the crown before Thy face.”
