God's Special Gift To Us

Our Special Gift

“And the angel said unto them,
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you
Good tidings of great joy, which
Shall be to all people.”
Luke 2:10.

Rome was in firm control of the lands around the Mediterranean Sea when Jesus Christ was born. We are not certain of the year when God sent His Son to spread the good news that, as a special gift, man could be reconciled with the Creator of the world.

Roads had been built and the water ways had been cleared of pirates. All of this was to benefit the trade and business of the vast number of people. Rome had over-extended its might to portions of Northern Europe.

Yet there was an undercurrent of rebellion by the people that Rome had conquered. It was for this reason that they placed garrisons of soldiers in specific rebellious places. Judah was such a place. In reading the New Testament, Jesus was constantly coming in contact with the commanders and common soldiers stationed in various cities. One such example is found in Matthew 8:8.

“The centurion answered and
Said, Lord, I am not worthy that
Thou shouldest come under my roof:
But speak the word only, and my
Servant shall be healed.”

This is only one example of the military and Jesus. Another example is recorded for us in Luke 23:47.

Now when the centurion saw
What was done, he glorified God,
Saying, Certainly this was a righteous

The situation in Judah and Israel are similar to our own time and place. It’s been said that the United States has our military in about 700 places on the globe. In order to comprehend the future – we must look at the past.

The times we are living in the United States are turbulent moments. There is an undercurrent of CHAOS. It mainly comes from those who despise President Donald Trump.

Another excuse is that Hillary Clinton lost the election. It was not by chance she lost it! It appears that God moved and stopped this wicked woman from becoming the President. All one can say is: “Thank God!”

There are many examples as to how our rebellion has been fermented. The example which is so obvious is that the Media is not telling the truth. There are many examples of the network CNN fostering one lie after another lie. Then comes the Special Counsel fiasco that is being played out in Comey and Mueller. This hatred of President Donald Trump can be observed by anyone.

Why the heck – has Hillary Clinton not been indicted and charged with numerous crimes is not understandable. She should be accused of various felonies and/or misdemeanors. The Senate, House of Representatives and bureaucrats are seemingly filled with fear. Look at the damage she has done:

Uranium sale,
⦁ Destroyed digital hardware,
⦁ Allowed hackers to steal emails, and
⦁ Back-Door Deals with giant pharmacies.

We are certain that things are not much different than they were in Jesus’ time.

During this time of the year the push for money spending is beyond my comprehension. The companies that really rake in the coins are the credit card financial institutions.

Women especially will travel long distances to buy in another city or location. This always seemed weird to me. The merchant in that city acquires the same merchandise from the same place that she came from.

Christmas is not a celebration of the birth of our Savior and the possible redemption of man, it is about money. Many businesses rely upon the last four or five weeks for their yearly profit. Money is the reason for the season. It is not the birth of the Son of God.

There are some parts of Christmas that are delightful. We all have our favorite songs. There was a man named Isaac Watts , from England, who wrote over 600 at least hymns. He was prolific in his penning of praise to God. The time that Isaac Watts lived was from 1674-1748.

There is such an out-pouring of Christian hymns that the atheists cannot stop the music. One song which Watts left for us is “Joy to the World”, Psalm 98:1-2. It tells us to sing of the Lord.

“O sing unto the Lord a new song;
For he hath done marvelous
Things: his right hand, and his holy
Arm, hath gotten him the victory.
The Lord hath made known his
Salvation: his righteousness hath he
Openly shewed in the sight of the

At the end of the blog you can hear the mighty words written by Isaac Watts. Some have said he was the father of hymns in the English language.

We speak about being happy in our language. This actually denotes a short-time event. However, the word “JOY”, has a deeper meaning. Joyfulness and happiness are NOT the same! They are not interchangeable.

At Christmas, we seek to bring joy to the life of another. God's Special Gift To UsThis is what God did for you and me. Songs can be that bridge that lets each one of us hear of the gift that God bestowed upon us.

There is a passage from Acts 20:35, which tells us how we are to act at Christmas.

“I have shewed you all things ,
How hat so labouring ye ought to
Support the weak, and to remember
The words of the Lord Jesus, how he
Said, it is more blessed to give than
To receive.”

During Christmas, our deep concern should not be that we want, want and WANT SOME MORE!

This time of the year there are tons upon tons of pleas for helping others from Thanksgiving on until New Year’s Eve. Goods will be delivered to our house, request for money and the envelope always has a blank envelope in it so you can return it with a check, credit card number or cash.

As a precaution, it is wise to never send cash through the United States mail.

As a further recommendation, do not give out your credit card number. There is a possibility that the number will be stolen by a delivery person or a worker, and it is asking for trouble. Checks are good. A Bank Money order is by far – the best. Then, you have 2 recordS: the Bank’s Paperwork and the Bank Money Order.

This is a time of fraud. It happens very year. This year will be no different. The United States government wants you and I – to believe that THEY are the giver of all sorts of gifts, such as:

1. Medicare
2. Medicaid
3. Freedom of liberty
4. Social security.

The items numbered above: #1, #2, and #4 – are actually a theft distributed by the Robin Hood government. They take from Peter to give to Paul.

AND – Number # 3 is a present from the Creator to us personally.

Leviticus 25:10, is the first place in the Old Testament that uses the word “Liberty”.

“And ye shall hallow the fiftieth
Year, and proclaim liberty throughout
All of the land unto all the inhabitants
Thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto
You; and ye shall return.”

The Christian should tell others where liberty comes from. It is God. Paul wrote in II Corinthians 3:17, we told where liberty comes from.

“Not the Lord is that Spirit: and
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there
Is liberty.”

The Democratic and the Republican parties have nothing to do with this gift of Liberty. Actually – they want to restrict it.

The entire Old Testament and the New Testament are about gifts from the Lord Jehovah. The patriarchs were blessed again and again. Israel was given a rich land and ready producing finally Jesus was a gift. John 3:16, tells us this.

“For God so loved the world,
That he gave His only begotten Son,
That whosoever beleiveth in him
Should not perish, but have everlasting

We must never accept the fallacy that government gives to us. The Government does NOT give us anything.

God gave mankind two tremendous gifts:

Our sins removed.
⦁ Eternal life.

Without these two gifts – our life is a great tragedy.

At this very moment, our country is in the midst of horrendous turmoil. One can look around and see all kinds of conflict.

First, the respect for the United States Flag and the Constitution is at an all-time low.

Second, the sin of sexual perversion is rampant in America.

Third, the play of one race against another race is obvious. This has been brought about largely the Democratic party and its talking heads on TV and Facebook.

Fourth, there is a willingness to only be interested in more money. This was also true during the time of the “War of Aggression”, in 1861-1865 . . . Then the war started!

Each and every day, we are given the necessities to continue living. Each one of us has certain wants and needs. Each one of these must be met or we would seriously die. These are air, food, shelter, and clothes. Without any one of these, then our life is miserable until death finally and mercifully sets in.

Jehovah wants us to posses the gifts of air, food, shelter and clothes.

Jesus Christ gave us the example of when he fed large groups of people under unique circumstances. All of the events were temporal, but they were still a gift for that moment. The food was a gift.

The Apostle John in 6:9-11, tells us of one gift.

There is a lad here, which hath
Five barley loaves, and two small
Fishes: but what are they among so many?
And Jesus said, make the men
Sit down. Now there was much
Grass in the place. So the men sat
Down. In number about five thousand
An Jesus took the loaves; and
When he had given thanks, he distributed
To the disciples, and the disciples
To them that were set down:
And likewise of the fishes as much as
They would.”

This but one example of a gift from God through Jesus. He still helps us – all the day long in our daily life.

God gave to us,
⦁ God gave his son,
⦁ God gave to us necessities, and
⦁ God gives to us eternity.

May God Bless Our Republic.

“Joy to the world! The Lord is come:
let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room
and heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns:
let men their songs employ
while fields and floods rocks hills and plains
repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow
nor thorns infest the ground:
he comes to make his blessings flow
far as the curse is found.

He rules the earth with truth and grace,
and makes the nations prove
the glories of his righteousness
and wonders of his love.”
