EASTER

Should They Apologize?

“So, as much as in me is, I am
Ready to preach the gospel to you
That are at Rome also.
For I am not ashamed of the
Gospel of Christ: for it is the power
Of God unto salvation to every one
That believeth; to the Jew first, and
Also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness
Of God revealed from faith to faith:
As it is written , the just shall live by
Faith.”   Romans 1:15-17.

We errant human beings have a desire deep within us. It may lie dormant – but it’s there. Some people express this openly, while others seldom express it. One can see the manifestation of this power in our ideas. One cannot evade these thoughts, since for centuries men have rejoiced its’ presence. You have it. I am also one who harbors this desire.

It has no discrimination among the races – white, red, black, or brown. The economically poor, as well as the rich harbor these thoughts. Even all of the professionals – teachers, medical doctors, lawyers, ministers – it is always present. In fact, each one of these has it in their spirit.

Some will dodge and weave to deny this fact. One can’t really deny this, because we can see it bubbling forth in the lies. You must have noticed that there are humans who seek to have a structure named in their honor.Universities use this to raise funds to build out their campus. In Washington D.C., government buildings are named after the dead politicians.

We all know how memorials are erected about famous military men. All nations erect some huge likeness in a statue for the dead generals. The remark is always made that the citizens should never forget what was done.

In all of these incidents, the underlying core is each of us wants to live forever. We do not want to be forgotten. We want to continue to live (somehow) after death.

People must have to work at being an atheist & say there is no life after death.  It could be depressing.

NATURE ITSELF

The plant world has the same profound concept there is a desire to continue to exist. One should only look at how trees attempt to produce. The oak tree literally sends out thousands of seeds each year, which we call acorns. Each year my front yard is literally covered with the acorns from four oak trees.

Other similar plants act the same way. The wheat stalk leaves hundreds of seeds. The same is true of barley and oats and other stalks we eat that have the seeds. I know that many of the plants have seeds. You might think this to be a strange remark.

You should remember God has said that all plants reproduce and will live forever.

One should but look at the great oceans to see how these creatures reproduce over and over. We say the fish travel in schools. When animals are left to themselves, there will be large families of them. These animals seek to live a long time – the elephants, zebras, dogs, wolves and lions.

Humans are no different in our life. God gave men an ability through the male sperm to impregnate many females.

What all of this informs us is that men, plants, and animals want to live forever. Of course, this idea may take different forms.

RELIGIOUS LEADERS

Philosophers and teachers seek to know what happens to us after death. None can ever come too close to what happens to each of us at our demise. The ones who I have read about are either so confused or present a foggy and clouded explanation that for the most part it is goofy.

If you want to be in a mental fog, then listen to some guru talk about any subject. This logic has no basis in fact except that they want you to pay more money to their group.

There is no hope for eternity since it is all words and there is little proof. You might consider these facts. Here is this record: the “Moody Press” in 1970 wrote this as proof.

Confucius’s tomb – occupied
• Buddha’s tomb – occupied
• Mohammed’s tomb – occupied
• Jesus’ tomb – empty.

Our Lord was the only one who lived, died and rose again never to die again.   Although, he will live forever with God.

The book of Romans is one of the greatest explanations what happens to us if we do not accept the unmerited offers proposed by God’s anointed Son. When one reads this marvelous writing, one can grasp the meaning what is expected of us. When you are asked the question then remember the answer is simple. It should be the resurrection.

SHOW US THE PROOF

The different prophesies of the Old Testament can easily be seen now that time has passed. This prophesy has been set forth for our reading in Genesis 3:15.

“And I will put enmity between
Thee and the woman, and between
They seed and her seed; it shall bruise
Thy head, and thou shalt bruise his
Heel.”

The fulfillment is told to the readers in Galatians 4:4:

“But when the fullness of the time
Was come, God sent forth his Son,
Made of a woman, made under the
Law.”

The amazing aspect of this is who was to give birth. It would not be under the circumstances as we know them, a human male would not be involved in the birth or inception. God would plant seed in the womb of the woman. It was the prophet Isaiah 7:14, that wrote this out for us.

“Therefore the Lord himself
Shall give you a sign: behold, a
Virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
And shall call his name Im-man’u-el.”

Yet Matthew 1:18, 24, 25, lets us know what happened.

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ
Was on this wise: when as his
Mother Mary was espoused to
Joseph , before they came together,
She was found with child of the Holy ghost.
Then Joseph being raised from
Sleep did as the angel of the Lord
Had bidden him, and took unto him
His wife:
And knew her not till she had
Brought forth her firstborn son: and
He called his name JESUS.”

The Bible even goes into detail where the birth was to occur. Micah 5:2, tells us where.

“But thou, Beth-lehem eph’ratah
Though thou to be little among the
Thousands of Judah, yet our of thee
Shall he come fourth unto me that is
To be ruler in Israel: whose goings
Forth have been from of old, from
Everlasting.”

This was about four hundred years before the event. Read this Micah 5:2.

“But thou, Beth-lehem eph’ratah
Though thou to be little among the
Thousands of Judah, yet our of thee
Shall he come fourth unto me that is
To be ruler in Israel: whose goings
Forth have been from of old, from
Everlasting.”

As always, Gods timing was perfect. Read this in Matthew 2:1.

“Now when Jesus was born in
Bethlehem of Judea in the days
Of Herod the king, behold, there
Came wise men from the east to
Jerusalem.”

It would not be possible for this writer to set out at least 61 prophesies about future events that will come to pass.

All of the prophesies DID HAPPEN – just as was set forth in the Old Testament.

The following are points that can be found in the four Gospels that are focal points of the last hours and days of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Jesus was murdered,
• Jesus was dead,
• Jesus taken to the tomb,
• Jesus was buried,
• Jesus was sealed by a huge stone,
• Jesus was guarded in death,
• Jesus sought by disciples, and
• Jesus seen in post resurrection.

All of these can be supported by the many passages in the four gospels. Yes, he arose from the dead!

NO REFUTING

The enemies of Christ had no answer to the fact that Jesus came back from the dead. It was a strange contrast of the Jewish leaders that there was no attempt to deny that Jesus did arise from his burial slab.  EASTER

These Jewish politicians and religious guards knew what the evidence was. The way a person tries to overthrow the truth is seek personal revenge through name calling or violence.

Had there been any evidence that Christ had not really died, then it would have been used by the leaders. This would have ended Christianity. The Jews were silent. This spoke louder than any words. Their silence was more powerful than the spoken word.

The Church was founded upon one simple fact; it was in and will be the resurrection of Jesus the Nazarene. Such evil people as the muslim – Obama and the witch – Hillary are only examples of people who turn their head away from the Resurrection. Only fools would ever do this.

This has the same logic as how the atheist’s act. They are mad at God because he does not exist. This strange logic is the understatement of the year!

There is the attempt to sidestep the truth. One reason the heathens will not accept this fact is that judgment is a fact. All of the decisions are brought before the judgment of God. Mercy is gone. When Christ talked to Thomas he made is clear in Luke 14:6.

“And they could not answer him – Again to these things.”

CONCLUSION

Within all of us, we know that the Church today has a cluster of serious problems. We need to tell others who the Risen Lord is.

• Explain who Jesus is – the Resurrected One.
• How we know the claim is legitimate,
• Never retreat from this core statement, and
• This gives us an eternal future.

KEEP THE FAITH!

CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN TODAY

1. Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

2. Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

3. Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where’s thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!

4. Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

5. Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!

6. King of glory, soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing, and thus to love, Alleluia!”
