Strategy OR Tactics?

“And in all that mighty hand,
And in all the great
Terror which Moses shewed
In the sight of all Israel.”
Deuteronomy 34:12.

A Prussian military theorist, Carl Von Clausewitz, wrote a statement that was as true then as it is now. The activities in war may resemble a game of cards because no one can predict which cards will be dealt and who they’re dealt to.

No one can ever predict what he or she will receive. When certain conflicts happen, luck can be easily detected. This is not saying that war is a game. It is not. Events can happen which are not foreseen by anyone.

Skill and preparation are two of the success factors in war, card games and even – in life. The intelligent person has a sense about what to do in any given circumstance.

Humans enjoy stating that times have changed. That is true, but it does not mean that the basic concepts are always the same in war and in the way we live and do business.

The various differences in humans is noticeable from an early age, until death knocks at our door.

Based upon observations of life, it seems two fundamental concepts exist. Each is well documented by the vast numbers of people who do not even comprehend the way they are acting out in life.

Here are the two sources which instruct us how to live:

  1. The lives of people who give us wisdom are derived from the way people acted in life under the same restraints, trials, and tribulations.
  2. It comes as a belief to those who are dependent upon it. The answer is in the Bible.

First, a person needs to look at the past from as many view points as it can cover. The basic concern is that people do not want to overcome their problems. It seems that some people enjoy stress and ignorance. Recently, I heard a statistic that seven out of every ten people want to live pay check to pay check. This is a deplorable condition! Think about all the stress that causes.

In recent months, the Democratic Party has had a tendency toward socialism and evil communism. This economic policy is a disaster from any point of thought.

These are the nations that attempted the intervention of socialism:

  • Union of Soviet Republics (Russia)
  • Nazi Germany,
  • China,
  • Cambodia,
  • Cuba,
  • Argentina,
  • Small states in Eastern Europe,
  • Nicaragua, and
  • Venezuela.

You would think there could be some ability of at least ONE person on the left to see what has happened to each one of these ignorant people. Here are a list of consistent results:

  • Never enough food to feed all the citizens,
  • Huge building developments, for the bureaucrats,
  • Death panels,
  • Always a 5 year plan that fails,
  • Suppression of Christianity,
  • No civil rights,
  • No place for free thought,
  • Finally – the government collapses,
  • Restrictions of travel,
  • Control by a national committee with the power of life or death,
  • Control of all media, and
  • Elections are never free.

My deepest and sincerest hope is that none of this happens in the United States. The odds are against us.

I hope that we’ll set aside all socialist schemes stated by Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson and those other Presidents who followed in their mental footsteps.

We should start reading the classics about the heroic people that have been written about the past. It seems the generalists of 1800 to 1880 are the best. People want the government to act as God Almighty in their lives. When that happens, my hope is that the following generations will cast aside socialism and communism. It probably will require a bloody revolution.

There must be an attempt upon our part to ridicule and deny the validity of socialism and communism.

In my library. I have 39 questions that you can answer online, which will tell you and myself if you are a socialist or a communist.

If you attend any church, ask the minister how many times he or she has read the bible through. Mine told me that he only read it ONE TIME!

This is not a ‘pity party blog’ – but some characteristics must be shown for educational purposes. From what others have told me, the minister of their church is no different than any of the others churches. My wife fell and broke her back in two places. This man of God did the following:

  • Wrote one get well card and,
  • Visited her only once in the hospital.

This is all the concern that he showed within the past two years. Based upon comments of others this man is no different than your average church minister.  This kind of minister is selfish. In all fairness, the same comments could be made about other ministers, priests, rabbi’s, and preachers. Read what has made other people great citizens from the classics. You should seek to copy them.

In order for liberty and freedom to exist in the United States, we must grasp what the Holy Scripture states.

In the U.S. Army, there are two groups of men. You are either in one or the other. Each one has a separate responsibility. I will demonstrate the examples of both. First, there are men of tactics. Second, there are men who can think and act by use of strategy.

We should separately examine each man as capable of performing some sort of strategy. Their type must be great observers and thinkers. This is a special talent that few possess. In World War II, George Marshall was a man of strategy. Douglas MacArthur was a man of strategy.

In war and life we must use the concept of strategy. This is the reason we should read the Holy Scripture – to learn the plan for life.

In the Old Testament, there were also men of strategy: Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Elijah, David, and Solomon. These men could plan for the future. These men knew God’s word and what had to be done. Their comments show the future.

The second group illustrates the use of tactics. These are the doers. George Patton knew how to fight a war. Erwin Rommel was a man of tactics, Ulysses S. Grant knew how to fight as well. The apostles were men of tactics.

Jesus Christ was a strategist. We need to look at the temptations around us.

You need Jesus to help guide you through the Chess Pieces of life.

Here are three examples of the comments that Jesus quoted back to our adversary.

The first took place when a physical need arose in the body of Jesus. Matthew 4:4, is a quote from the Old Testament.

“But he answered and said,
It is written,
Man shall not live by bread alone,
But by every word that proceedeth
Out of the Mouth of God.”

This quote comes from Deuteronomy 8:3.

“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which though newest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth no live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man.”

The second temptation was about the physical form as found in Matthew 4:7.

“Jesus said unto him, It is written again,
Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

This quotation arises from Deuteronomy 6:16.

“Ye shall not tempt the Lord,
Your God as ye tempted him in Mas’sah.”

The third and final temptation is from Matthew 4:10.

“Then saith Jesus unto him,
Get thee hence, Satan.
For it is written.
Thou shalt Worship the Lord thy God,
And him only shalt thou serve.”

Then Jesus quoted Deuteronomy 6:13.

“Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God,
And serve him, and shalt swear by his name.”

Jesus gave his followers what they needed. All three of these are strategies from Jesus. The basic problem is that people will not follow the plan and/or the strategy that Christ spoke to the world.

We are to follow the tactics that are necessary. He commands us to be like Him. In the military, what is laid out must by followed. This is the reason that we see the importance of the Beliefs in the Word of God that were given to us.

It is correct as originally written in Timothy 3:15, as to the study of the truth.

“And that from a child thou hast known the
Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee
Wise unto salvation through faith,
Which is in Christ Jesus.”

Timothy 3:16-17, tells us that since scripture is given by inspiration there is no mistake:

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and
Is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect,
Thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

We are overcome by the modern day excuse – such as – “Because my husband is dead, therefore, there is nothing I can do to help out.”

There is much you can read and should accomplish. Get up and do it!

1. Can you plan?
2. Can you act?
3. Can you identify a Socialist?
4. Why you must act!

God Bless Our Repuplic.

Keep The Faith!

“Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See his banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.

At the sign of triumph
Satan’s host doth flee;
On, then, Christian soldiers,
On to victory.
Hell’s foundations quiver
At the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices,
Loud your anthems raise.

Like a mighty army
Moves the Church of God;
Brothers, we are treading
Where the Saints have trod.
We are not divided;
All one body we:
One in hope and doctrine,
One in charity.

Onward, then, ye people;
Join our happy throne.
Blend with ours your voices
In the triumph song:
Glory, laud, and honor
Unto Christ, the King.
This through countless ages
Men and angels sing.”
