Put on the full Armour of God - to stand against the devil.

Strike Back At Evil

“Gilead is mine; Ma-nas’seh is mine;
E’phra-im also is the strength of mine head;
Judah is my lawgiver; Moab is my washpot;
Over Edom will I cast put my shoe;
Over Philistia will I triumph.”
PSALM 118:8, 9.

Yes, there comes a time when Christians must strike back with physical force. When talking with some Christians, the comment made that we should always turn the “other cheek”. The history of we believers is otherwise.

It is in our teaching and in action, that moments come when there is a right for one to conquer evil though contact. We learned from the Bible that peace is disrupted because of the way the evil forces are acting and seeking to destroy righteousness.

The Holy Scripture teaches us to proclaim when – enough is enough.

In the United States, it seems this time may be coming. The hatred, the evil, the fraud, and the violence that some groups and individuals are portraying is beyond any sense of reason. These evil people delight in upheaval. They often destroy personal property because of the evil remarks made by the perpetrators of the comments which have no basis in fact.

As we examine the source of this action and words it has at its source – the politics and the money of evil people. The name that is often used is George Soros. He is only one of the messengers of Satan.

The tipping point will probably be the November 6, 2018 election. The left has such a hatred for Donald Trump, that there is a form of metal distortion. It is because of his election to the office of President. Christians, as a group understood that to elect Hillary Clinton would have been the end of this Republic.

Donald Trump knew how to campaign because he had read the United States Constitution and the Electoral College sections.

The writers of the Constitution turned down the ideas of a simple democracy. This form of government has the seeds of mob rules and finally ends in some form of a dictatorship either by one man or a select group. In a democracy, little debate can be allowed because the mob has already been pronounced to be on one side.

The examples that best illustrates that is the crucifixion of Jesus, the son of God. A we read the four texts of the gospels we read what a mob always does. Mark 15:10-13, tells this.

“For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy, But the chief priests moved the people, that he would rather release Barabbas unto them. And Pilate answered and said again unto them. What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews. And they cried out again, Crucify him.”

Some wanted to strike out on behalf of Jesus, but the master said to put up their swords, Mark 14:46-47, teaches us this.

“And they laid their hands on him and took him. And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.”

Jesus and God had other plans. It followed the idea that sin could only be removed by a sacrifice and shading of blood as told in Hebrews 9:22.

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

When evil is destroyed we must remember that evil did it to itself.

We are told in Genesis 14:14-16, that Abraham took up arms to destroy the capture of Lot his nephew. This is only one passage.

“And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive,
He armed his trained, born in his own house,
Three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
And he divided himself against them,
He and his servants, by night, and smote them,
And pursued them unto Ho’bah,
Which is on the left of Damascus.
And he brought back all the goods,
And also brought again his brother Lot,
And his goods, and the women also,
And the people.”

The book of Joshua is the continued story of a war against evil. Joshua 6:20-21, tells what happened.

“So, the people shouted when the priest blew
With the trumpets:
And it came to pass,
When the people heard the sound of the trumpet,
And the people shouted with a great shout,
That the wall fell down flat,
So that the people went straight before him,
And they took the city.
And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city,
Both man, and woman, young and old,
And ox, and sheep, and ass.”

Jericho was the beginning of evil being destroyed. One of the famous encounters with evil was when Gideon and the 300 fell on the men of Midian as told in Judges 7:25.

“And they took two princes of the Mid’i-an-ites,
O’reb and Ze’eb; and they slew O’reb upon the rock of O’reb, And Ze’eb they slew at the wine press of Ze’eb,
And pursued Midian and brought the heads of O’reb
And Ze’eb to Gideon on the other side of Jordan.”

God has used strange and unusual men to destroy evil. In Judges 11:33, the man Jephthah was sent to destroy evil.

“And he smote them from Ar’o-er
Even till thou come to Min’nith,
Even twenty cities,
And unto the plain of the vineyards,
With a very great slaughter.
Thus, the children of Ammon
Were subdued
Before the children of Israel.”

Here was a man who was an outcast, and he destroyed evil! God uses many different types of persons to destroy those who desire evil. There are numerous names which could be found in the Old Testament which gives us a vivid picture of what He did to save the Hebrew people. The problem later arose that the Israelites became like the evil around them.

Jesus the Nazarene was not a pacifist. There are many illustrations of how Jesus dealt with the soldier of Rome. The hands around the Mediterranean Sea were under the power of the Roman legions who ruled with brute force. Actually, the Romans wanted these three things:

  • Taxes,
  • Young men for the military,
  • Control of the population.

Rome kept the peace by using brute force.

The Gospel of Jesus in the beginning attracted a certain class of people. Here they were:

  • The poor people.
  • The military.
  • The women.

    * At no time is there ever recorded that Christ said not to fight. You must have noticed the many conversations He had with those in the armed forces, especially with the Centurions. No other profession came close to dealing with Jesus. He was always having conversations with women. They realized His Power and gravitated to him. He was a
    magnet that the three were drawn to.

When it was appointed by God for the Gentiles to hear the Gospel, Peter was sent to a military man who was highly accepted. Acts 10:1, 2, 25-26, gives the history.

“There was a certain man in Caesarea
Called Cornelius,
A centurion of the band called the Italian band.
A devout man, and one that feared God
With all his house,
Which gave, much alms to the people,
And prayed to God always.
And as Peter was coming in,
Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet,
And worshipped him.
But as Peter took him up, saying,
Stand up; I myself also am a man.”

Then later Paul’s life was saved two times by a soldier. Once in Acts 23;22, 23, a centurion acted.

“So, the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me. And he called into him two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caes-a-re’a and horsemen threescore and ten, spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night.”

There was a ship wreck which Paul was on as told in Acts 27:43, 44.

“But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land.: And the rest, some on boards, and some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so, it all came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.”

Finally, in about 325 A.D, the Roman Army had been so converted to Christianity that one commander said he saw the sign of the cross in the sky. It read “In hoc signo vinces.” Which meant, “In this sign conquer”. The Democrats usually want to cut back the military.

There is an important election which will be held on November 6, 2018, and all Christians should vote. It will be crucial for this Republic. Some Christians will not tell who the enemy actually is. Let me give you a list of evil doers:

  • Maxine Waters.
  • Charles Schumer.
  • Deane Feinstein.
  • Barbara Boxer.
  • George Soros.
  • Richard Durbin.
  • Barack Obama.
  • Bill Clinton.
  • Hillary Clinton.

All Christians should vote!

These names are the leaders of those who want to destroy the written U.S. Constitution. Those listed above have sought to destroy anyone who disagrees with them. All one would need to do is to watch various news reports to see these people in action.

This blog in not meant to be a political printing but it seeks to square the actions with Christ and or the Adversary. Personally, I will not be able to write about them in this state or venue or vote in this election.

As an individual, the issue comes up as to what can you and I do to support the Constitution and the Republic. Here are my thoughts about this:

1. Express to your minister he or she should speak out against the massive sins of this decade. There are certain subjects which can be addressed: abortion, dope, sex outside of marriage and standing for this nation. In all probability – he will refuse.

2. Always be vocal about your Christian character. This will upset the listeners as well as your friends. What the Democratic Senators did to the nominee for the Supreme Court and his family and especially his two girls was an act of terror.

3. DO NOT RETREAT – if someone gets in your face with a satanic tirade.

4. If you are attacked physically and you fear for your life then fight back with whatever you can. This is not only upheld by the law of, Texas but I suspect by other states. Evil must be confronted by Christians.

As we look upon at the life of Jesus or any of the Apostles there is no teaching that did otherwise.

Christians must always rise to support and defend the faith.

1. Defend yourself against evil.
2. See what Israel did to evil.
3. Absorb what Jesus said, and
4. Destroy evil wherever possible.

God Bless this Republic.

“A mighty fortress is our God,
a bulwark never failing;
our helper he amid the flood
of mortal ills prevailing.

For still our ancient foe
doth seek to work us woe;
his craft and power are great,
and armed with cruel hate,
on earth is not his equal.

Did we in our own strength confide,
our striving would be losing,
were not the right man on our side,
the man of God’s own choosing.

Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is he;
Lord Sabaoth, his name,
from age to age the same,
and he must win the battle.

And though this world, with devils filled,
should threaten to undo us,
we will not fear, for God hath willed
his truth to triumph through us.

The Prince of Darkness grim,
we tremble not for him;
his rage we can endure,
for lo, his doom is sure;
one little word shall fell him.

That word above all earthly powers,
no thanks to them, abideth;
the Spirit and the gifts are ours,
thru him who with us sideth.

Let goods and kindred go,
this mortal life also;
the body they may kill;
God’s truth abideth still;
his kingdom is forever.”
