War Is Coming!

“Then all the children of Israel, and all the people,
went up, and came unto the house of God, and wept,
and sat there before the Lord, and fasted that day
until even, and offered burnt offerings and peace
offerings before the Lord.”  Judges 20:26.

There is a rule in a war that is tantamount to all other precepts of war. It is a simple but very positive in bringing an armed conflict to a conclusion. Here is the principle to be followed. Act quickly! Act decisively! Never prolong the engagement. While the enemy is still viable in its capacity to fight the results will be tragic. The battle should be fast and completed as soon as possible.

Here are several examples when the conflict never reaches a conclusion.

In our own American Revolution, the British Army could not stop the audacious Washington. He kept coming on and on. Finally, the King’s army was bled dry.

In our own war of Northern Aggression (Civil War) it was thought the battle of the “Crater at Petersburg” would end the slaughters. It did not! Another 150,000 were killed in the next eight months to follow.

When the United States decided to engage the Japanese in the Pacific Ocean and to fight Germany in Europe. There was a split of force and of commitment. The war was protruded.

The classic example was a lack of decision in the Vietnam political affairs. That could not have been because the swamp rats, (Congress), would not stop acting like scared rabbits and thus this nation lost to an inferior military.

Another example of a refusal to move with speed is Afghanistan. This has been a fifteen-year fiasco. The cowardly Bush and the muslim-leaning Obama both have allowed this to go on and on.

The rule of never prolonging the engagement has been violated. Now we can say that for a certain war is a racket.

When the atomic bomb was dropped on two cities this brought down the curtain. In August 1945, Japan had had enough. Later, the move on Panama was fast. The point is without question. Move fast!

One must recall that Jesus never said how we are to debate and discuss a moral issue. The Christ and Moses never said these are to be left to some sort of vote. Democracy is a failure.  When you hear people use the term “democracy” – then, immediately you know that person is ill-informed or an intentional liar when they describe the political system as a democracy.

God leaves no room for a vote on right or wrong!

The book of I Corinthians, tells the troubled church to act in I Corinthians 16:13.

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men,
be strong.”

Then Peter tells the people of Jerusalem in Acts 2:38, to move at once.

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sin, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

The church of today is one that does not move with agility. Because the leadership does not comprehend the Biblical solutions to any problem it cannot respond with determination that has any power.

Here is an example: how slowly the response to abortion has been. The Bible clearly states this is an act of murder. There had to be some evil silly debate as to when life began. Then the Protestant and Roman Catholics did not speak but for a decade or so and even some did not rail against the murderers of defenseless children.

There should be a condemnation of both the natural father as well as the natural mother. Do I expect ministers and priests to call for judgment of this act of fornication?   No!

It is a puzzle to the writer why the church will not respond to the sins of this culture. We should learn from the wars which have surrounded us as a culture thus church included. Here are some obvious excuses to wit:

• Ministers/priests are afraid of the loss of their retirement,
• Ministers/priests know their members are guilty of that sin,
• Ministers/priests know the economic costs would be heavy at first,
• Ministers/priests would lose their pensions,
• Ministers/priests would have to depend upon God alone, and
• Ministers/priests for the most are believers that the government is a god.

On all of the walls of our hearts should be engraved Psalm 20:7.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will
remember the name of the Lord our God.”

In the lost days if WWII, the Unites States invaded an island near Japan named Okinawa. There was a hill nicknamed Sugar Loaf Hill that was only 50-foot-high.  The U.S. Marines took the hill 10 TIMES  –  but were driven off. Finally, on the eleventh time the assault stood it’s ground.  Our casualties were 9,000; and the entire army of 77,000 soldiers of the Japanese was lost. The point is attack, attack and attack.

It is Christ who brings to us the plan of salvation.

The Church of the New Testament must advance. The good news that Christ has come and he will return however we Christians must seek to spread the gospel of Christ. His words are the only encouragement we will have! The Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterians, Roman Catholics, or Disciples of Christ offer only part of the good news. There is no government which can calm our souls or any economic group.

John 14:8-10, tells us who Jesus was/is and will be.

“Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father,
and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, have I been so long time with
you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that
hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest
thou then, shew us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I
speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth on
me, he doeth the works.”

When no voice is heard in the world with quickness, power and might then the masses see the church as a piece of wet spaghetti that has no moral fiber.

The people come together to fight evil who in this case were the perverts, rapists and queers. For two days it seemed evil would win. Then when God was sought by Phinehas he learned God said forward. Judges 20:26, sets the stage for action.

“Then all the children of Israel, and all the people,
went up, and came unto the house of God, and wept,
and sat there before the Lord, and fasted that day
until even, and offered burnt offerings and peace
offerings before the Lord.”

Then the spirit came to Phinehas to not slack off. Keep the pressure on evil as told in Judges 20:28.

“And Phinehas, the son of E-le-a’zar, the son of Aaron,
stood before it in those days,) saying, shall I yet again
go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my
brother, or shall I cease? And the Lord said, Go up;
for tomorrow I will deliver them into thine hand.”

As the tribe of Benjamin looked at the battle scene the third day did not understand what the terrain held for them. The other eleven tribes had laid a formidable for these men who had won two days before. This should teach us to survey our surroundings very carefully. This is called overconfidence.

Astute businessmen try to project themselves in the future. When a person does this then the odds begin to be for the cautious. In Judges, this story is laid out in detail in Judges 20:32-33.

“And the children of Benjamin said, they are smitten
down before us, as at the first, but the children of
Israel said, let us flee, and draw the, from the city
unto the highways.
And all the men of Israel rose up to their place, and
put themselves in array at Baaltamar: and the liars
in wait of Israel came forth out of their places, even
out of the meadows of Gibeah.”

The event was a colossal disaster for Benjamin. The other tribes hid in the numerous places which gave them a sanctuary. They laid a sudden ambush upon them. This could have been avoided.

When the tribe of Benjamin left their city fort this was a mistake. The other tribes set it on fire. No resistance! When the men of Benjamin looked back they were in a vise. Soldiers in front and five behind. We Christians have a definite goal in our generation it is to bring the Gospel to the infidel muslim. They are led by evil ministers called iams.

There should be a council of war to obliterate this religion.

In a peaceful way the following are suggestions:

• Use the social media to tell muslims what Christ offers,
• Speak out over the internet or T.V. and radio,
• Set up a circle of missionaries such as TCM who will train the young to go to certain countries to spread the gospel, and
• Make a plan to attack.

There must be a council of war to advocate the glories of Christ. God could raise up a group who could see the vision and then act.

We are told in Judges 20:47, that some retreated to a certain rock known as Rimmon. They held out for four months. This story has a meaning for us also.

“But six hundred men turned and fled to the wilderness
unto the rock Rimmon, and adobe in the rock Rimmon
four months.”

The meaning is clear and decisive; first a sin brings destruction. This is not generally believed. Second do battle as quickly as possible to eradicate the sin and its results. Unless we act then what happens is partially our fault.

In our day and time, we must stand up against people like the following:

• Obama,
• Bill Clinton,
• Hillary Clinton,
• John Kerry,
• James Comey, and
• Nancy Pelosi

This is a partial list of corrupt people who should never be given any position of any leadership. This is not siding with any party – Democratic or Republican or Green. It is the person not the party.

From the pulpit words are chosen with great care because of offending someone in the pews. Who cares? The eleven tribes brought a correct war but was a proper approach against the sin of perversion and rape.

The lesson each one of us taken from the letter of Judges 20 is direct yet it still is powerful.

• When troubles arise act quickly to survive,
• Look what that sin will do, and
• Know what the scripture says for you to do.

Yes, the beautiful Psalm 18:32, should be our guide.

“It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.”

“Faith of our fathers! living still
in spite of dungeon, fire, and sword;
oh, how our hearts beat high with joy
whene’er we hear that glorious word!

Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death!

Faith of our fathers! we will strive
to win all nations unto thee,
and through the truth that comes from God,
the world shall then be truly free:
faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death!

Faith of our fathers! we will love
both friend and foe in all our strife;
and preach thee, too, as love knows how,
by kindly words and virtuous life:
faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death.”
