We need to treat the people at our Churches as if they are our family.

We Need Each Other

“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth
is named.”         Ephesians 3:14-15.

Among some Christians there is a mental belief that there is no need to associate with fellow people of like faith. This is a mistake – we need each other. Such logic, if you can call it logic, is ripe with a failure to understand the Holy Word.

There are some people who think that Christians should live the life of a recluse.

Among certain groups this idea is dominant. There are people who live out their existence in a cloistered environment, such as a convent or a monastery. The Bible never once hints to live this kind of life.

At the time of Christ, and even before, men would go off by themselves in a group. It may have been that John the Baptist lived like this for a while but there is no evidence or proof he did.

We have an obligation to Evangelize. It is a command of Christ that this be done.

Jesus spoke in Luke 24:46, 47, the command to evangelize.

“And said unto them, thus it is written,
and thus it behoved
Christ to suffer,
And to rise from the dead the third day;
And that repentance and remission of
sins should be preached in his name
among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

The name of the ascetic community of men was Essenes. This may have been the group of people who hid the Dead Sea Scrolls in the caves near the head of the Dead Sea. They divorced themselves from society. One would not have to look long at them – to say they were strange.

The Book of Acts gives to us a graphic picture of the early Church. Much of it was based upon the family concept.

Here is but one idea how it reacted in a troubled spot. In Acts 6:1,3, there is set out the problem of two races. The apostles acted quickly to keep a festering sore among the brethren from developing.

“And in those days, when the number of the
disciples was multiplied, there arose a
murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews,
because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
Then the twelve called the multitude of the
disciples unto them, and said, it is not reason
that we should leave the word of God, and serve
tables.”

“Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.”

The United States Navy details to us how we must have different types of support in order to carry out a mission. Their major attack weapon is no longer a battle ship – but it is an aircraft carrier.

World War II taught us the importance of an aircraft carrier.  During this conflict we had 105 of these mighty pieces of steel.  Now the times may have changed somewhat and the average person does not know that a huge aircraft carrier has with it the following list below:

  • Seven cruisers or destroyers,
  • One attack submarine,
  • Oilers, and
  • Other support ships.

If the aircraft carrier doesn’t have that support – it’s just a sitting duck out there in the middle of the sea.

I suspect that’s why the North Korean ruler has become so quiet of late. There were as many as five aircraft carriers off the Coast of North Korea. We do not know how many atomic bombs were prepared to be launched.

DIVISIONS

This is one of the reasons the Democratic Party is so dangerous. It refuses to work for the good of the United States. What the politicians are doing is ripping the fabric of this nation into shreds. Our Nation needs all of us to help!

When we see a division in the body of Christ – then, you can be sure a weakened Church will be the result.

Among believers there is a group who believe the only way for Christians to grow, to – is to accept the Restoration Plea. Cast aside the liberal view of the Bible. The only map to follow is the New Testament. In this way there can be little doubt what is accepted as a rule for following Jesus Christ.

At this very time there is debate going on among people whether to accept into our midst people who come to us illegally. This had been going on for years.

Obama, the leftist muslim-leaning socialist, has allowed the most evil people to be apart of this nation. There can only be disaster which will arise from this man. It is doubtful he believes in the United States Constitution.

He never held a job which was founded upon Bible principles and work. Tell me what he did for the benefit of this nation. We now are coming to a decision that he was a blight upon us. His legacy is:

  • Affordable Care Act,
  • Increase of Middle East wars,
  • Nonsupport of military,
  • Economic growth stymied and
  • Disregard of Christian values.

In the plant world certain types of plants will clump together.

Even animals like to congregate together with their own kind and we humans do also. We give names to these groups. Birds are called a flock. Bees are called a hive. Cattle are called a herd. Fish are called a school. Lions are called a pride. Snakes are called a den. Some birds are called a covey.

Humans do the same. In prison the word, “Gang” is used.
Specific work groups are called ‘“Unions”. In ancient times the word, “Guilds” were used. We even award names to set groups such as lawyers, doctors and scientists.

The point is that all living things seek to be together. It should it come as no surprise that Christians want to come together. It should be expected this will happen.

We seek our own and need to have companionship with each other.

When it comes to religion, the different groups do not mix well together. In America, this has been true. You could notice that there are Black Churches and there are White Churches. There are Oriental Churches and there are Hispanic Churches. Again, we seek to be around people of like kind.

There have been attempts to force groups to assimilate into another group. Generally, these are colossal failures.

There was an attempt to make Indian boys into White men’s ways. The famous athlete Jim Thorp was said to be from east of the Mississippi River. He was not. His original home was west of the Mississippi River. He was forced to live back east so he could be like white men.

OUR TROUBLE

When the marxist socialists’ want to bring in the illegals from Mexico, El Salvador, and Africa – we are not ASKING for trouble but truthfully – we are begging for turmoil.

These people come from a different culture that does not live by the same principles as we people of European culture. The sound of this might cause you to go crazy. But, it’s true.

Our type of civilization adheres to the Protestant work ethic. Our way of life is based upon a different set of values. Our courts are grounded upon Bible principles –
athough this has begun to change very dramatically. Here are some obvious changes in the last two decades.

  • Commission of fornication,
  • Soft on crime,
  • Theft is common,
  • Lack of discipline of young,
  • Scoffing of Christian values, and
  • A “Give me” attitude.

This has come about in the last two decades. Will it continue in the short-term future? Yes. It has been said that 49% of the population pay no income tax. The government subsidies have been a force on all of this.

What a strange set of circumstances exist now. Such corporations as CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC and both parties print articles that have no back up. In fact, they refuse to give the source. All of this is being done because Hillary, the witch, lost the election of 2016.

The United States has gone through 28 years of being led by liberal progressive socialist marxist men and it is doubtful that they ever read the U.S. Constitution. The names of these men are:

  • George W. bush – Liar, (Read my lips),
  • William Clinton — Sexual Pervert,
  • George Bush – Does what Daddy Wants,
  • Hussein Obama – Muslim-Leaning.

What a terrible leadership these men have forced on us! Remember mankind cannot do away with cause, effect and judgment. Like it or not.

SOLUTION

Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior then the concept of life changes. Jesus spoke to this issue in Matthew 22:36-40.

“Master, which is the great commandment
in the law?
Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the
Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, thou shall
love thy neighbor as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the
law and the prophets.”

We are not to be self-centered with God or others. This was the start of the family concept.

There must be a dynamic change in the way we live. The first Gospel sermon gave the instruction how we stand. See Acts 2:37, 38.

“Now when they hear this, they were
pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter
And to the rest of the Apostles, men and
brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and
ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Then and only then is our life different. We begin to see fellow Christians as part of our family. Then the world cannot put any guilt upon us. Christians need other Christians. There is no need to be like the world. Our attitude must be as follows:

  • Where the Bible speaks, we speak,
  • Where the Bible is silent, we are silent,
  • Do things in a Bible way, and
  • In essentials unity.

When these truths are followed then a family has been created. There are times when families split and divide themselves. This has happend in the Church. WHY?

We individuals must seek to bring back into the fold those who are our family.

The one great matter which has been lost is in our desire to evangelize the world. Yes, some have followed what Jesus said to do but for the most part it has not been done. The result as always is that numbers are decreasing.

The family becomes smaller and lesser each year. However, forget what the organization does. It is the person who causes the Church to expand. Set your mind upon the family. Here are two men that were committed.

Marshall Kebble immersed 47,000 people. Another man of the Restoration Plea immersed an estimated 32,000. These wo men believed in the family of God.

Let’s make the World great again!

CONCLUSION

  • The Church is a family.
  • Never be divorced from the family.
  • You and I are never alone.

God Bless the Republic.

KEEP THE FAITH!

I SURRENDER ALL

“All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Make my, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.”
