Women Can Change the World

Women Make The Difference

“And Deb-o-rah, a prophetess, the
Wife of Lap’i-doth, she judges Israel
At that time.
And Ba’rak said unto her, if thou
Wilt go with me, then I will go: but if
Thou wilt not go with me. Then I will
Not go.” Judges 4:4,8.

It is so easy to forget the role women have played in the support of the will of God. The two chapters of this remarkable woman prove the point that women have had a place in God’s people – plus the presiding of the
Gospel. Later on in this blog it will be shown how important the female sex has been in the eternal plan of
Jehovah, God.

Women have been blamed for hatching sin in the Garden of Eden – but it is also true Adam took up this revelation of God’s command. Read Genesis 3:6,7.

You cannot only blame Eve – because Adam shared their sin.

“And when the woman saw that
The tree was good for food, and that
It was pleasant to the eyes, and a
Tree to be desired to make one wise,
She took of the fruit thereof, and did
Eat, and gave also unto her husbandWith her; and he did eat.
And the eyes of them both were
Opened, and they knew that they
Were naked: and they sewed fig
Leaves together, and made themselves

There are several areas which women can be very supportive of men.

Women can sense evil quickly,
• Women can warm their male partners,
• Women can bond together, and
• Women can work behind the scene

Women possess strange powers. This is a known fact. Men act quickly and women will plot out a plan. This gives women an advantage.

Outside of the Bible, women have been important in the resolution of the political area. There have been women
who have suppressed events – as well as guiding men to perform great tasks.

The one who so often comes to the mind of people is the maid of France. She was given the name of Joan of Arc.
This teenager saw she had a vision that France needed her. The English army had fought the French and were
victorious. Then out of a peasant background come a young girl who talked to the commanders and the king in
such a way that men would listen. As usual, the priest and the politician felt compelled to burn her at the

In our own history of the Constitutional Republic, do not forget women as Betsy Ross and Dolly Madison. George
Washington, the wife Martha Washington must have been a strong supporter of her husband.

Actually, we probably already have had a woman president! When Woodrow Wilson had his stroke, his wife kept
him in a room at the White House and gave orders to the elected representatives – as if Wilson had said them.
We’re not sure if HE gave the orders … or, not. President Wilson had just had a stroke. Could he speak? Could
he even think?

It seems as if women have set forth ideas that captured the minds and soul of the country.

There was a book written before the War of Northern aggression that swayed a nation to rise up against slavery.
The book was “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”. It was written by a woman, Harriet Beecher Stowe.

There is an attribute that women have shown in our country it is to lead in such colossal movements as the
1. Keeping America out of World War I.,
2. Leading in the probation movement when the United States went dry,
3. Voicing deep concern for the conservative movement as opposed to liberalism, and
4. Fighting the evil Planned Parenthood

There have also been demonic women such as the following:

• Hillary Clinton
• Eleanor Roosevelt
• Nancy Pelosi
• Barbara Boxer
• Margaret Sawyer

It matters not that you look at the lives of these women because the damage they have done cannot be calculated
now in the years to come.

What I have tried to illustrate is that a woman can have great influence – or –  great evil on the masses.

Sometimes it appears that women know how to use events and make events happen to their advantage whereas men
are abrasive for acting quickly to circumstances. In fact men will abuse certain ideas and actions.

When men who go to war with other nations. it makes you wonder if the male species thinks about the
consequences of what he’s going to do.

George Bush, on the spur of the moment invaded Iraq. He caused mass destruction. Now this nation has been in a
war in Iraq and Afghanistan for at least 15 years. If my memory is correct there was a woman who sought such an
action. The figures of 400 men who were killed to free Iraq from Saddam Hussein. A woman would have thought
this through in much greater detail. The results would have been different.

The average woman can be deceptive. They are very capable of making their bodies look different. The average
woman knows how to color their faces, eyes and lips in such a way men are attracted to them. Then these women
will literally rearrange certain body parts so that men like what can be observed.

It seems as though a female can be of great service as a mediator and negotiator. You may have noticed that
women can talk faster than men. This means they have a clearer vision as to what is happening.
New Testament Women

The space is not sufficient to list all of the women who were discussed in and around the characters of the New
Testament in the beginning of the book of Luke two women were presented. It was not just to a man. First there
was Elizabeth and her husband. Luke 1:5, states the narrative.

“There was in the days of Herod
The king of Judea, a certain
Priest of A-bi’-a: and his wife
Was the daughter of Aaron , and
Her name was Elizabeth.”

Then came the virgin Mary in Luke 1:27-28

“To a virgin espoused to a man
Whose name was Joseph, of the
House of David; and the virgin’s
Name was Mary.
And the angel came in unto her,
And said, Hail, thou that art highly
Favoured, the Lord is with thee:
Blessed art thou among women.”

Women Can Change the World

Never accept the remark that women were, are and will be – second class instruments!

Then we know Jesus was very observant who women were in the scheme of the New Testament lays it out. In John
4:10, 13, 21, let us know the subject matter of Jesus and this female who was an outcast.

“Jesus answered and said unto
Her, if thou newest the gift of God,
And who it is that saith to thee, give
Me to drink; thou wouldest have
Asked of him, and he would have
Given the living water?
Jesus answered and said unto
Her, whosoever drinketh of this water
Shall thirst again:
Jesus saith unto her, woman
Believe me, the hour cometh, when
Ye shall neither in the mountain,
Nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the

We could go into detail about various women but we should never downplay their roles. Mary Magdalene who was it
that was at the cross when all had left? Mary Magdalene. She was first at the empty tomb. In John 20:1, begins
the story of the Resurrection.

“The first day of the week cometh
Mary Magdalene early, when it
Was yet dark, unto the sepulchre,
And seeth the stone taken away
From the sepulchre.”

This woman was not afraid to explore the foretold prophesy of the Son of God. We know but only a small bit
about this woman.

Seemingly we thank think the first convert to Christianity in Europe was a woman. Acts 16:13-15, tells of a
woman who Luke wrote about.

“And on the Sabbath we went
Out of the city by a river side, where
Prayer was wont to be made; and
We sat down, and spake unto the
Women which resorted thither.”

And a certain woman named Lydia:

“Lyd’i-a, a seller of purple, of the city
OF Thy-a-ti’ra, which worshipped
God, heard us: whose heart the Lord
Opened, that she attended unto the
Things which were spoken of Paul.
And when she was baptized,
And her household, she besought us,
Saying, if ye have judged me to be
Faithful to the Lord, come into my
House, and abide there. And she constrained

After this the list grows longer for just as Paul would preach to different cities always a woman would come
forth as a believer this was true in Athens when Paul stood before a crowd at the marketplace because Acts
17:34, names the women.

“Howbeit certain men clave
Unto him, and believed: among the
Which was Di-o-nys’i-us the Ar-e-
Op’a—gite and a woman named
Dam’a-ris, and others with them.”

Then Paul walked to Corinth where he was taken into the house of a couple. The profession he followed was the
same as theirs – Tent Makers you can read this in Acts 18:1-3.

“After these things Paul departed
From Athens, and came to Corinth
And found a certain Jew named
Aq’ui-la, born in Pontus, lately come
From Italy, with his wife Priscilla;
(because that Claudius had
Commanded all came unto them.
And because he was of the same
Craft, he abode with them, and
Wrought: for by his occupation
They were tentmakers.”

There is no need to give more examples of women in the church.

During World War II, there was a lack of men to prepare the nation for war. It was then that women stepped into
the work force. In the time period between 1941 to 1945, there were approximately 15 men per every woman who
were in the armed forces. It was during this time women entered the workforce. The women have never stopped
working outside the home.
This phenomenon has been a great change in what women are doing. Here are some examples of the transformation:

Women have entered all professions
• Women have replaced the role in all areas of the labor force
• Women have now seen various businesses as CEO
• Women have entered various church ministry.

In the past, if ONLY men were in a specific field – now –  a woman is able to handle that workload, too.

The problem has arisen that women have left the church except for the older ones, George Barna has made a study of
this. He’s done research on various aspects of Christianity.  You should look for his articles on Faith and Christianity.

• Few daytime meetings during the weekdays,
• Focus on night events with security,
• Push the social media such as Twitter, Facebook etc.,
• Teach very practical areas i.e. child care, food, quick reads,
• Acknowledge that many women are single.

“All the way my Savior leads me,
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?

Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well;
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.

Though my weary steps may falter
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.

All the way my Savior leads me,
Oh, the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father’s house above.

When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way;
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way.”
