Women, Men And Preparation

“Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands;
that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the
word be won by the conversation of the wives;
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge,
Giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and
As being heirs together of the grace of life; that your
Prayers be not hindered.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready
Always to give an answer to every man that asketh
You a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
                                                                                              I Peter 3:1,7,15

As a practicing attorney there are few stories that have not been told in my office.  There are confessions of murder, down to running a red light which, have been told in the confines of the walls of my office.  It seems that different stories take a pattern when many more are presented.

The culture teaches men to look upon women as slaves, sex toys and personal property.  There has been an influx of Central American people coming to the United States in the last 10 or 15 years, but what has happened is that these people have brought with them that women are inferior to men.  In effect these people are setting  the culture of Mexico in the United States.  This will finally cause chaos inside our nation.

In the place where I live, West Texas, violence is more and more.  Physical abuse to women is the norm.  Men beat, strike and kick the opposite sex.  Many males will have sex with the female.  The Facebook  account are often full of these men bragging about their smoking pot or using other drugs.  The money for them has been easy to come by.

Fornication is rampant.  Drugs are easy to obtain.  Sin is fun.  The abusive use of alcohol is a common rule.

No one in their right mind would disagree with my assessment of the events.

The issues is what can I do or what you can do to change this sinful pattern.

In the last 60 years the feminist have been responsible for the attitude toward women.  The abortion murderers are also a part of this life style.  Men do not respect women when they do not respect themselves.

My personal reply to women is demand respect from every man.  The Bible never says you are a thing, personal property or a sex toy.

ROLE  OF WOMEN

The early church was populated by slaves, the poor and women.  There was a reason for this.  Jesus Christ and the Gospel offered a way out of the drudgery of life and the treatments these three groups received from their culture.

When you go to church look around and there will be a dominance of women sometime it is as high as 3 to 1.  The majority in any church service is the female.

The problem was present then as now.  I Peter 3: 1 states that the woman can convert the husband:

“Likewise ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey
Not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the
wives.”

The point was they would be the catalyst for conversion of their husband.  See I Peter 3:2

“While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.”

The method to be used was not the outward flash of fashionable hair? Jewelry, or special clothing.  The apostle does not say these were not to be worn at any time but the emphasis is not to place it on the body for outside reasons.  See I Peter 3:4;

“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible,
even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God
of great price.”

The example is one of the most beautiful women listened to what her husband said.  This woman was Sari who Pharaoh wanted.  She stayed loyal and obeyed Abraham.

The teaching is obvious.  In the role reproduction of the race women have a position as a helper and supporter of their husband.

ROLE OF MAN

Some men consider their wives as not important.  A man shall control his household but at all times paying honor to the wife.  This does not ever mean that the wife is to be spoiled that her every wish is to be granted.  See Peter I 3:7.

“Likewise ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving
honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together
of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

Sometimes that means men are to defer to the wife.  This idea we are to just live for ourselves is not correct.  Such matters as listed below we should be careful.

  • Hunting with only men
  • Fishing with only men
  • Poker night
  • Watching Porno
  • Going to a sports event alone

Think about how selfish these are.

What each one of us needs to realize is we are called by God for a set reason:  See I Peter 3: 9.

“Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but contrariwise blessing;
knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.”

There is a performance criteria for man.  One of the most important faction is to keep the mouth shut.  I Peter 3:9

Even though we are often brutal with words that must be controlled.  I Peter 3:10:

“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from
evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.”

As Christians men should know that we often speak about what is going to happen in the future when men speak we should understand what is being said.  It will tell you often the future.  Speak the truth.  This is what I Peter 3:10-11

“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from
evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.”

Some of the great events of history have been set out when some men spoke. Here are some examples of this:

  • Martin Luther – Diet of Worms, 95 Thesis
  • Thomas Jefferson- Wrote and read Declaration of Independence
  • Abraham Lincoln – Cooper Union speech
  • Adolph Hitler – Mien Kampf
  • Winston Churchill – never surrender speech
  • Henry V – Shakespeare – Band of brothers

Men pay close attention to what you say.  Listen to what comes from the mouths of other men.

CHRISTIANS SUFFER

From I Peter 3:14 to 22 there was a remarkable comment about the persecution starting and the brutality that was to come.  There was no doubt that physical harassment was soon to come.  It was a fact that it did arrive.  Tradition tells us Peter was crucified like Christ on the cross but he preferred it to be upside down when it happened.

The people of the United States will go through this.  When it will happen I do not know.  But this I do know the Muslims if they could would do it in a heartbeat.  These are evil people who are taught this is their mosque.

  • 9/11 Muslims
  • Boston Marathon – Muslims
  • Shoe bomber – Muslim
  • Airport x-ray – Muslims investigation started this

If we are to have liberty and any freedom these people should be removed from the United States.  Will it happen during Hussein Obama’s term?  Of course not!

What Peter told these people was to be prepared to give a reason for their faith in I Peter 3: 5.

 “For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted
in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands.”

It was Christ that set the example when we were told, torture is done and a person is murdered.  Our response is to be the same.  There is to be a reason for the molesting it must be because the person follows the teaching of the Son of God.

Peter further said Noah was an example that goodness and righteousness have reward for those who practice these.  There is little or no instant graduation for those who follow the commands.  These people were familiar with Noah’s story.  I Peter 3:20 states this.

“Which sometimes were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God
waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that
is eight souls were saved by water.”

This passage also speaks to the issue of immersion.  It indicated this is a direct command.  There are groups who will not follow the Holy Scripture when it says immersion..  The Greek word has been corrupted.  It never meant sprinkling or pouring.  It was a total submersion of the body into the water.

These are the groups who changed the meaning:

  • Presbyterian
  • Episcopal
  • Methodist
  • Modern groups
  • Roman Catholics

These groups ignore the following remarks from the Gospel:

  • Matthew 28:19-20
  • Mark 16:16
  • Conversions in Book of Acts
  • I Peter 3:21

When a person hears that immersion is not essential for salvation ask what they do with the above references.  The remarks will make no sense. The Bible is what it is a fact.

As a Christian it is known where Jesus is.  He is in Heaven.  He has a seat next to God.  He is in command.  He controls the heavenly beings as well as the powers that be.

You read this in I Peter 3:22

“Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.”

“The Church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord;
She is His new creation by water and the word;
From Heav’n He came and sought her to be His holy bride;
With his own blood He bought her, and for her life He died.
Yet she on earth hath union, With God the Three in One,
And mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won;
O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we,
Like them the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with Thee.”
