“God, who at sundry times and in divers’ manners
Spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son,
Whom he hath appointed heir of all things,
By whom also, he made the worlds.”
Hebrews 1:1-2.

The issue keeps coming to the forefront in our culture. When a void is found in nature – then, another force steps up to fill the vacuum. In the United States, the issue is obvious. When will the hole be discussed in the lives of people? The reason it has not is because the leadership ducks the idea.

People do not want to accept the fact. Yet the fact is before everyone. Yet so many people desire nothing be said. The disturbing fact is our eyes can be shut tight, but our ears are still open even though it is in our mind.

It may be settled that we must determine which comes first the chicken or the egg. In this lesson today, it may seem we will never know that answer. Here is the question!

Why have the Preachers been silent about the SINS that are committed in the United States?

As we look around then we can glance back if this has ever happened. This is the reason history must be studied. Yes, I know not every person wants to study what happened years ago. This desire runs another way.

It is here the public schools can be such a dominant and powerful source in our culture. The basic rules can be taught as to what to look for and to see. It is here that failure is evident. Serious questions come up which can be given an answer. Listed below are some troubling ideas which have been seen in the past.

  • Why socialism does not produce,
  • Why Christianity always moves towards capitalism,
  • Why mothers should care for their children,
  • Why progressivism is rotten to it’s core,
  • Why greed is a form of corruption,
  • Why sin must be confronted, and
  • Why a need for a strong man who will speak out for Christ.

As a general rule, it’s a huge problem when the leadership of a nation does not want to follow the truth.

The following is a story of Ahab who was, the King of Israel, and would not listen when God spoke to him through a prophet.

The King of Judah was visiting Ahab. His name was Jehoshaphat Ahab was about to go to war, when prophets were called forth to tell whether the war would be successful. The win was given in I Kings 22:6.

“Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the King.”

One prophet was told not to do this. You can read his reply in Kings 22:12-19.

“And all the prophets prophesized so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the kings hand.

And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake into him saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.”

And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, what the Lord saith unto me, that will I speak.”

“So, he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go and prosper: for the lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.”

And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord?

And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not had a shepherd, and the Lord said, These have no master: Let them return every man to his house in peace.”

“And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?

“And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him in his right hand and on his left.”

In the battle Ahab was stuck with an arrow. Then we are told in I Kings 22:36-37, he died.

“And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, every man to his city, and every man to his own country. So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and he was buried in Samaria.”

This is but one example of when a man and a group do not listen to the Word from God. In the chapter here, many said not to listen to the man of God. This event happened hundreds of years before Jesus Christ came into the world. In the Old Testament, they were found telling of how God would speak to the Jews.

 The end result, was that the vast majority closed their eyes to the truth.

In preparation for this blog, there was some research done by a member of my staff. It was a time when my eyes were opened. The research was to be done to see whether various groups trained their young to become a minister and how many retired or died each year. The group which I had requested were these:

  • Methodist.
  • Presbyterian.
  • Roman Catholics.
  • Disciples of Christ.

What was thought to be an easy task became an almost impossible to collect. There was found that most of the denominations are clouded in their figures. However, it was obvious that one startling fact did exist. The reality was that in their advertisement to attend a seminar – no Bible references were found. At first, I thought this was wrong. This may be a fluke, but I do not think so. In the Disciples  of Christ was practiced these subject matters.

  • Called to service God.
  • Worship and Community.
  • Degree pronouns.
  • Disciple Foundation.

Then, there is much using of blacks among the pictures. It has been said that all blacks are Baptist’s – unless someone has been fooling with them.

In all of the material, I saw no attempt to restore the concept of the Early Church, as found in the book of Acts or the writings of Paul, Peter or John.

Here are some of the seminaries in the Disciples of Christ:

  • Brite College,
  • Christian Theological,
  • Lexington Theological,
  • Phillips Theology,
  • Attachments to other Universities,
  • Butler University.

From these surely there should be one speaker or writer. There were none. The Disciples of Christ did produce one with notoriety. His name was Jim Jones, the Kool Aide man in South America. There were 900 who died.

When young men graduate from these denomination schools, they are filled with religion – but often are not taught about Christianity.

It is a fact that these failed preachers are not skilled in several matters.

First, the congregations do not want to listen to a man speak about the sin, righteousness, and judgement that will come to every person. When this is preached from the pulpit the result is one of two responses. The hearer accepts this truth and renounces evil. Another response is to deny Jesus Christ and retain evil in their hearts. When a minister first starts to proclaim this way of life there will be a mass exodus of the congregation.

The first church had this happen in another way, and then the persecution started. So, we can say many universities persecute Bible believers.

Second, money always comes into the equation on what to do. Our society believes that retirement should be an automatic event. Leaving one job to sit on our backside has never been a plan of God.

To work at a position for 20 plus years and then leave it to view television, do crossword puzzles or travel to another locality is the wish of an ignorant, low IQ, stupid fool.

Preachers do not want to risk having their retirement halted by the denomination.

Third, the idea you will be mocked for not doing what the average person believes is very upsetting to many. What most people engage themselves in is at least 98% in error because preachers should not follow the masses.

Fourth, a building is not where God stays. The Jews believed God stayed in the Holy of Holies. There has never been a brick or building that saved anyone.

Fifth, other matters have taken the place of the New Testament Christianity. Civil rights is not New Testament Christianity. Eating is not New Testament Christianity.

Only God knows if the New Testament in the United States is about to be removed. Look around you and it is self-evident the Gospel is not being proclaimed by the leadership.  There are some of us that hold to the fact Jesus is the Messiah who must be followed. Jesus was abrupt in John 4:21-24.

“Jesus, saith unto her, woman believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the father. Yet worship ye know what we worship; for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth: for the father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit: and they that worship him must in spirit and in truth.”

  1. Be careful of denominations.
  2. Observe ministries.
  3. Pay no mind to buildings.
  4. Evangelize. Evangelize. Evangelize.

God Bless Our Republic.

“Master, the tempest is raging!
The billows are tossing high!
The sky is o’ershadowed with blackness,
No shelter or help is nigh;
Carest Thou not that we perish?
How canst Thou lie asleep,
When each moment so madly is threat’ning
A grave in the angry deep?
The winds and the waves shall obey Thy will,
Peace, be still!
Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be,
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean, and earth, and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, be still! Peace, be still!
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, peace, be still!

Master, with anguish of spirit
I bow in my grief today;
The depths of my sad heart are troubled—
Oh, waken and save, I pray!
Torrents of sin and of anguish
Sweep o’er my sinking soul;
And I perish! I perish! dear Master—
Oh, hasten, and take control.

Master, the terror is over,
The elements sweetly rest;
Earth’s sun in the calm lake is mirrored,
And heaven’s within my breast;
Linger, O blessed Redeemer!
Leave me alone no more;
And with joy I shall make the blest harbor,
And rest on the blissful shore.”
