Stupid or Ignorant?

“If the foundations be destroyed.
What can the righteous do?
PSALM 11:3.

There are two words which describe this generation of young people – even though there is a minority that do not fall into these categories. The two terms have a special idea behind each one. These are not a phrase, but each describes the person and then how he or she can fit into that concept.

First, it is easy to recognize what is meant if we use the word, “stupid”. Most of the time stupid is used to describe a person who lacks the ability to think out and define a problem. Some people do not have the mental ability to analyze information except on the most basic emotions. Society generally will use this term, stupid, to state he or she was born with a flaw in the brain. So, first there are stupid people. It is hard to remake individuals who are stupid.

After giving a comment on ignorant people, then we will go into depth of who is in the stupid harness. It might surprise you.

Second, there are the ignorant. This collection of homo sapiens can be rendered, provided they be trained in a thought patterns which allow the brain to reconsider the logic, sanity and former dialect of the past. This often times means it would not be a group event. but should be done in a one-on-one situation.

Now let me show you at least two passages of scriptures where there was the movement of a group and then illustrate an educated event. The first is the group teaching Peter spoke on the Day of Pentecost to several thousand attending this holiday. This is what Acts 2:37, 38, states.

“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Here is where the mind of the group was changed.

It seems the books of Acts tells several conversations with a person. Acts 8:35, 36, 37, illustrates how one man spoke to another man and the conversation happened in the middle of literally nowhere.

“Then Phillip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, see here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Phillip said, If thou believest what all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

This man was confused about what he was reading from at Isaiah 53:7, 8. This was a one-on-one conversation.

“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth, he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgement: and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”

In our culture we have these two examples of how people can change. Billy Graham used the mass speaking but thousands of ministers for the most part use the one on one.

What is happening in the United States today almost comes to the point of open warfare against those who are conservative. The word conservative basically means to hold the values of the past that were proven to be fundamental to this nation: In recent years I have not heard one single person stand and discuss the values of the past.

  • What core values should be taught in public?
  • Has the left taken over the universities?
  • Why has capitalism fallen in disrepute; and
  • Where are the priests, pastors, and ministers on the Bible teachings?

In Isaiah, there were times when the people had to be told what God had performed for these stiff-necked ancestors. Psalm 44:1, 2, 3, lets us have a glimpse of the miracles that were performed.

“We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them:how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.For they got not the land in progression by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.”

When Stephen was brought before the Jewish Counsel, he did just this. He set out the history of the Jewish people. The start of this was told in Acts 7:1, 2.

“Then said the high priest, Are these things so?And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mes-o-po-ta’mi-a, before he dwelt in Char’ran.”

This is how the teacher gives honor, praise, and glory to the past. This blog is being written on December 7, 2018. However, this is not just an ordinary day in the history of the United States. It was 77 years ago that I learned of the Japanese attacking the battleship fleet in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

The last remaining president who fought in this conflict was George H. W. Bush. He was buried yesterday. There are no more. Regardless of our political feeling,these men and women who were willing to give the ultimate sacrifice should be honored. In the history books now there are only few mentions of certain events. Here are just a few that should be recalled:

  • Why are a we a republic and not a democracy?
  • Why do we have the 10 Amendments to the Constitution?
  • Why do we not discuss the Mayflower Compact?
  • Why is our economic system capitalism?
  • Why are our laws based on the laws of Moses?
  • Is there a violation of civil rights of the fetus when aborted?

History has not been presented with a forceful enough voice that explains why we have religious freedom.

When an abortion is performed, we are training people to care less about the future and about the life of a defenseless child.

This is only one example of how a country influences the founders of the Republic. There should be a chapter in our history as to how the French Huguenot’s influenced our nation. France was actually in the process of going Protestant. The French Huguenots were an attempt to transform France into the teachings of John Calvin.

France was in the midst of a civil war. This brought about the Edict of Nantes where the Protestant groups were allowed to exist and continue. Then, the Roman Catholic Church conspired with the government to stop their enemies who happened to be Protestant.

In 1572, on Saint Bartholomew’s Day, the government and Roman Catholic Church conspired to kill all of Protestants in Paris and in the other cities in France. The Protestants fled to many countries – one of which was to what today is the United States.

It is obvious that our Bill of Rights came from people like the Huguenots, who stated that the government and churches can no longer get away with joining forces.

There is a separation of government and church to act in concert with each other against a common group.

Was this ever taught in a school or in a university? I have two degrees from two superior universities. From my memory, it was never discussed in this setting. This story of the Huguenots is a thrilling adventure about mankind.

When one reads Psalm 22, the words of Jesus become much clearer. The following are the versus which we know refer to Christ himself – Verses: 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18. When he was on the cross, Jesus said these words from Psalm 22.

“But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
All they that see me laugh, me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver im, seeing he delighted in him. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Ba’shan have beset me round. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.”

The hatred among the cult of those who live in the Washington D.C. area have shredded the core values of our people and are consistently putting out false information. We know, for sure, that there is a two-tier system of justice.

One is for evil people like Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton. We could name a long list such as Maxine Waters, Eric Holder, and Charles Schumer. The contempt that is held for Mueller who heads the Special Counsel is obnoxious. These people are corrupt evil, mean-spirited individuals.

The good news is that evil will always be its own enemy.

There is an example of this one group – The Disciples of Christ. That group helped to create Jim Jones who was responsible for the death of over 9100 in South America. The Disciples of Christ are a dying group: In the last decade or so they have decreased to about 500,000 members. ALL OF the churches are in decline. The reason is the teachers do not give solutions.

The Holy Word is straight forward in its instructions to we humans. It is pointed the statements leave no doubt as to what we are to do. A fellow Christian told me he asked a preacher why he did not condemn sin from the pulpit. The minister said if he mentioned adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lying, stealing, gossiping and other sins then he would have no church members left.

This is a sad commentary, but it is true. This generation has no idea what people in the past have endured so that we can have religious freedom now.

The Democratic Party is adopting Socialism.

People like Waters, Cortez, and Sanders grasp their evil social and economic way of life. The socialists’ do not understand what socialism always does. It kills, robs, and lies.

  • Know what we are as a Republic.
  • Face down Socialism.
  • Be vocal in your resistance.
  • Proclaim Christ as the way.

God Bless Our Republic.

“When upon Life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings; name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your blessings;
See what God hath done.
Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your many blessings;
See what God hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, Ev’ry doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.

Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your blessings;
See what God hath done.
Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your many blessings;
See what God hath done.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you his wealth untold.
Count your many blessings; money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven nor your home on high.

Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your blessings;
See what God hath done.
Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your many blessings;
See what God hath done.

So amid the conflict, whether great of small,
Do not be discouraged; God is over all.
Count your many blessings; angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your blessings:
See what God hath done.
Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your many blessings;
See what God hath done.”
