War Follows Massive Welfare

To the Chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

“Blessed is he that considereth the poor.
The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive;

And he shall be blessed upon the earth.
And thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.”
Psalm 41:1-2.

The Christian holds to the position that the Bible speaks to every issue in life because He created us then his playbook does not leave anything to chance. The non-Christian scoffs at this suggestion because the Bible is never accepted by those who deny the Almighty.

When the biblical answer is set out in detail, then the scripted always remarks in this way. “You would let people starve and die.” When this caustic remark is spoken, then you are aware that a person does not understand what the Bible states is the plan for plenty.

Yes, the Almighty has given you and I the map for feeding the poor.

The argument is always the same – that feeding the poor is the responsibility of the government. The very crux of it is the individual does not have this responsibility. There are some startling facts which we must acknowledge. Come along with me as we try to examine what people are doing to the welfare program. In the past, these facts were dominant in society that teaches that the government must be the originator of welfare.

First, welfare increases the number of people who are poor. You would think welfare would decrease the number of poor people, but this has not proven to be correct.

Second, welfare increases the dependence that people have on welfare. It does not alleviate individual problems. Actually, the ignorant want more and more. The politicians use this as a method to buy votes. Since the days of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Democrats have used this to assure each cycle of votes.

Third, when a person or group receives welfare, this destroys the capacity to produce goods for that nation. Formerly it was the blacks who were said to be non-productive, but this is no longer true.  All of the races get welfare now and their wealth has decreased.

Fourth, welfare pits some groups of people against other people. It is easy to see the animosity that boils up. The non-recipient looks at the partaker of welfare with a sneering eye.

Fifth, welfare was supposed to be a temporary event but this is not.  It has become a permanent thing.  The programs never go away. All government programs are a failure. Like it or not.

Sixth, the government bureaucrats want welfare. There is always some group which was left out. The latest since the Coronavirus is the small businesses. The banks and huge corporations are already seeking more for government with taxation.  The Federal Reserve and special incentives want more welfare.

Oh – the PORK!

Some Christians allow their emotions to control their minds. When someone complains to them how much is paid out to the “poor”, they’re reputed to be:

  • Mean
  • Callused,
  • Heartless,
  • Hates poor people,
  • Feeling,
  • Christians that don’t care,
  • Hard hearted, and
  • Insensitive

We should never forget that welfare and poverty is sinful. The further you go back into the reason for their need of a welfare event – usually a sin is discovered. Yes, this goes against everything you and I were taught by the liberals in the schools, radios, and television. For those who are willing to see it; welfare is the arm of liberalism. Listen to the baloney of the talking heads on television.

When God is not allowed in the explanation of whom, what, and why then welfare will never be a solution. It will hang around our necks, pocketbooks, and until death comes. There is no end. One could say we are like the ancient mariners.

“Water, water everywhere,
And how the boards did shrink
Water, water everywhere
Nor any drop to drink.”

There is absolutely no end in sight to welfare.

Wherever there are large cities – then you will fund poverty. In Los Angeles, there are tents and boxes where people reside each day and night. There are thousands that live in these conditions.  People like Nancy Pelosi never visit these poverty-stricken and miserable souls.

Your author has seen the feces on the ground in San Francisco, California where the mentally ill, and poor live. San Francisco once was a beautiful spot fifty years ago. Not today!  The governor, (who is Nancy Pelosi’s nephew), has done little to clean it up.

South Chicago, Illinois is another blight on society that houses the poverty-ridden masses. The Democratic Party keeps this unholy mess going. Sin and evil are rampant in this once industrial city. Murder is commonplace in the black community.

New York City is a sordid tale. The subways are rat infested. People live one upon another. The streets are crowded. The elevators are full. Police are seen on foot especially in times square. The hotels are constantly cleaning the lobbies.

It is a wonder how anyone could survive in this squalor!

I once witnessed a homeless man curled up on a cardboard box next to an air vent on the street. The mayor, Blasio, seemingly does not seek to clean up New York. Poverty and filth is evident here.

Austin and Houston, Texas are less attractive now than 30 years ago. The poverty level is a sight to believe. When you examine the poverty-stricken  cities one can see quickly who runs these cesspools. There the Coronavirus is high also. It is always the Democratic Party that keeps the event happening. Look at these Democratic mayors:

  • New York, New York,
  • Chicago, Illinois,
  • Los Angeles, California,
  • San Francisco, California,
  • Austin, Texas,
  • Dallas, Texas,
  • Seattle, Washington, and
  • Baltimore, Maryland.

It was Lyndon B Johnson who integrated the “War on Poverty.”  The educational standards have been flushed down the toilets. There is a supposed to be an increase in employment, but this is a sham. Drug use was supposed to go down, but it never happened.

A Meme that says, "Someday, I hope to be able to afford a new iPhone - like the girl in front of me with the Food Stamps."

The more money they spend, the worse the problem becomes. The Congress has spent, spent, and spent. Poverty is still with us. From my observation, there is more misery than before the War on Poverty. The numbers of poor have increased. Some people have completely given up hope. When the government spent these vast sums of money, there was also new programs to help those in poverty. Such as:

  • Food stamps,
  • Medicaid,
  • Medicare,
  • Aid for children,
  • Free hospitalization, and
  • The list becomes bigger.

There is another factor which must be explained to see how the Democratic Party operates. Our wars with only two exceptions commence under the Democratic leadership. This has been stated before – but it should be emphasized again:

WWI- Wilson, Democrat

WWII- Roosevelt, Democrat

Korea- Truman, Democrat

Vietnam- Kennedy, Democrat

Iran- Carter, Democrat

Iraq-Bush, Republican

Balkans- Clinton, Democrat

Kuwait – Bush, Republican

Middle East- Obama, Democrat

Cold war- Truman- Democrat

When the “Powers That Be”, determine that it’s necessary to pull the economic benefits out to help the poor – then – WE GO TO WAR.

The lame excuse is always to make the nation stronger and thus we seek to overcome poverty.

President Donald J. Trump made remarks before thousands of people that he could not allow this nation to become Socialist. When a nation becomes socialist then poverty is being endorsed. The poor are poverty bound. Socialists always produce a lower-class people, since the middle class is gone. To make us poor here is how it is done.

  • A control committee is formed,
  • Entrepreneurial ideas are forbidden,
  • The old must die quickly,
  • Ownership is by the government,
  • Wait for healthcare takes years, and
  • Fair enterprise is forbidden.

We are now a socialist nation. It has happened during President Trump’s administration. To his credit, I do not accept this was trickery. He saw no other way out. This stimulus will bring about the termination of this Republic. The enormous debt of $24,000,000,000,000 is impossible to manage.

This blog has for weeks used the remark that Christians should be known as people of the Book. When some other method is used to regulate society, then it is humanism that is concocted by men and it means failure will come soon.

It is the responsibility of Christians to see that charity is carried out. Government theft in the name of charity or welfare is a failure. As a Christian, we must evangelize.  But, before evangelism, people must know we care about them.

The word love is so meaningless in our society that it has no deep meaning. What must be shown in our intelligent good will be toward the poor, needy, and disposed of society. It in Philippian 2:7-10, that it tells us what Jesus did.

“But made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.“

This has always been the act of Christians toward welfare. Giving money is important but agape love must be shown. James 2:14-17, points this out.

“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?  If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,  and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

It is the Church and the individual Christian that must show the world what welfare is supposed to be. Godly works occur when Christianity arrives in an area.  Here is a partial list:

  • Hospitals,
  • Orphanage,
  • Almshouses,
  • Rescue missions,
  • Soup Kitchen,
  • Shelters for homeless and,
  • Emergency relief programs.

Leaders of Christianity know that all people are welcome when God is served as set out in Acts 10:34-36.

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is LORD of all:)“

Our task is to show the gifts of God through good works. Paul wrote in Ephesian 2:8-10, this as instruction to the Church.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

The book of Proverbs 14:21, explains this.

“He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.”

The beautiful book of Isaiah 58:10-11, tells us to help those in need.

“And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.“

This action is part of the Gospel of Evangelism. It is part of our duty to preach deliverance as set out in Luke 4:18-19.

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon me,
Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.
He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance To the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable Year of the LORD.“

When we Christians only give money without showing our love to the people in need – then the Good News is a sham.

Talk is cheap. Giving alone can be a fraud or tax write off. To let the government steal from us and then give to fund the poor is sanctimonious. It is mouthing.

  1. What is welfare?
  2. Government needs to stay out of welfare.
  3. Church is the source of welfare.
  4. The poor must be helped.

God Bless Our Republic.

Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go;
Anywhere He leads me in this world below;
Anywhere without Him dearest joys would fade;
Anywhere with Jesus I am not afraid.

Anywhere! anywhere! Fear I cannot know;
Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go.

Anywhere with Jesus I am not alone,
Other friends may fail me, He is still my own;
Though His hand may lead me over dreary ways,
Anywhere with Jesus is a house of praise.

Anywhere with Jesus over land and sea,
Telling souls in darkness of salvation free;
Ready as He summons me to go or stay,
Anywhere with Jesus when He points the way.
